Aventurine SA is a game development studio, founded in November 2002 in Athens Greece with the purpose of developing innovative, reusable and upgradeable next generation video-game production platforms and tools, used in the creation of next generation massive multiplayer online video games.

Our goal was to develop an innovative and reusable state of the art technological platform and a Massive Multiplayer Game to showcase its capabilities. After the technological platform was complete, the company started developing a proof-of-concept product called “Darkfall Online. We applied long-term thinking, investing and supporting development of the technology and the application for over the six years.

Producing a Massive Multiplayer Online Game is one of the most challenging information technology applications. Only a handful of companies have managed to successfully complete a project of this magnitude using proprietary technology. Darkfall Online was launched in February 2009 and was made by just 19 developers.
