Please introduce your company and describe your role within the organization.
Blue Noda is a multi-faceted agency specializing in WordPress, SEO, and Social Media. We hire experienced consultants only to ensure the best strategy is offered.
What inspired the founding of your company, and what is the story behind its inception?
I worked with a few different agencies and felt their operations were haphazard. Without a slow and steady growth plan, agencies can erect overnight and offer services they are not equipped to execute. This only hurts the client. I wanted to offer a better, affordable product. We are a remote team by design for less overhead to keep rates at $125 an hour.

Could you explain your company's business model? Do you primarily operate with an in-house team or utilize third-party vendors/outsourcing?
We utilize 3rd part vendors because consultants with true experience always have an edge. They are constantly researching and learning because they love what they do. I have been in-house the grind will wear you down, the politics are unnecessary, and the word “agile” is overused and sometimes used incorrectly. We are truly an agile agency working within a SCRUM framework to execute faster and more efficiently.

We close the loop on SEO. When the client spends time with us, we can report on closed leads for SEO—a monetary value—and not just an estimate.

When you work with experienced consultants, we all align to the same goals, and there is less fluff. We want to make an impact, we want a solid case study, and we want the client to be happy with our work. We take pride in what we do.

Our consultants all specialize in different arenas, with no overlap. We all seek to improve our education on our own time. I support my team by paying for the best tools in the market, budgeting for experimentation, and constantly refining operations and communication to allow them to work more efficiently.

PROJECT: SEO + NATIONAL RANKINGS

Moskowitz Tax Attorneys

The Goal:
Moskowitz, LLP is a tax law firm client of ours and has been since 2017. In the fall of 2020, we began fine-tuning the content strategy for the firm. They’ve been writing blog content on a variety of tax issues since 2009. Our keyword optimization initiative scoured their existing blog articles for keywords. Based on article content, we cross-referenced post content with keyword popularity on Google. Where we saw opportunities, we changed content slightly and carefully rewrote page and image tags.
 
The Result:
 
  • From November 2020 to March 31, 2021: We more than doubled organic traffic, and increased positioning and visibility.
  • 186% increase in sessions.
  • Won new keywords we were never ranking for before and pushed mid-ranking keywords into the top 1-3 seats in SERPS (this is an ongoing strategy to see more of the yellow bars in one of the last charts).
  • Archived and redirected old content on the site.
  • Fixed all technical errors.
  • Upgraded for web core vitals and mobile response.

We constantly play and test new tools and Ai, and we are vetting new contractors for test campaigns to expand expertise within the network and see specific campaigns from all angles.

How do you build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, and what mechanisms do you have in place for gathering and acting upon client feedback?
We communicate a lot with our clients.
Automatic reporting to stay in touch mid-month before we take our 1:1 monthly call.
Transparent reporting and transparent time tracking to the minute.
How has your company adapted to changes and challenges in the business landscape, and what strategies have you employed to ensure resilience and sustainability?
We came in during COVID-19, and our overhead is minimal we are built to sustain.
What payment structure do you typically follow when billing clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, or Pay per Milestone (phases, months, versions, etc.)?
ACH, Check, and Credit cards. We charge for retainers at the beginning of the month, hosting annually, and hourly work when completed.
Do you accept projects that meet your basic budget requirements? If yes, what is the minimum budget requirement? If no, what is the minimum budget you have worked with in the past?
We have a full support team when you host your website with us, so you can make quick and easy updates when you need them. If you do not host there is just extra time needed to get proper access set up with your IT and WebMaster. SEO packages start at $799 a month. 3-month minimum and then month-to-month agreement.
Can you provide an overview of the price range (minimum and maximum) of the projects your company worked on in 2023?
$125 an hour.
$650 a year hosting plans.
$799 starting for SEO.
$1099 Starting for Social.
What technological capabilities does your company possess, and are there any ongoing or planned investments in technology infrastructure or tools to enhance your services?
We do not build our own software or dashboards or at this time, but we have that in our roadmap.
Where do you envision your company in the next 10 years? What are your long-term goals and aspirations for growth and development?
I want to see us double our client lit and talent. We want to grow so we can offer our services to more people. Our client retention is excellent - people are happy when they see the impact we can make.
