I hold CEO and President’s position at Brainvire. The objective of starting the company was to drive the world through Digital Transformation. I take care of the strategic decision-making process and progressive plans for the company. I have been working to establish Brainvire as one of the best and results-driven digital agencies out there; focusing on reaching different business segments with high impact solutions. Don’t Follow Digital Trends, Start Them, is our sutra at our organization.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
We believed there was a big gap in terms of Industry requirements and technology served to people. We wanted to offer a solution that not only had a significant impact on our organization but also on people lives. Brainvire’s primary goal was to increase automation, decrease repetitive manual task, enhance mobility, not to mention offer a reliable solution to clients, resulting in quick ROI in return.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have 600 + people in our organization so we can efficiently manage all the skill requirements, internally. We are one of the innovative companies that empower their people to keep learning new things through peer learning and by helping the community.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
We are a customer-first-approach company and flexible to work with any of the clients. We do offer consult-first-approach, and we do have Business Domain experts who help in identifying business requirements and then evaluate our competencies against our competitors and accordingly design a USP and marketing strategy. Along with this, we also rely on new technologies so it can reduce the development timeline; thereby, increase customer satisfaction.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We have our 98 % customer retention. We cater to various industries like Retail, BFSI, Logistics, Real Estate, Education, Healthcare, Diamond and Media. Apart from this, we also cater to 21st-century industries regarding Remote workforce, Cloud transformation, and many others. We believe in Industry 4.0 revolution lead by technology.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
Concept finalization and wireframing are the major modules for any of our mobile application project. Agile is the key to success nowadays for any project, and so we implement Digital Project Management methodology to make a success of our projects. One of the other factors in mobile app development is technology identification and third-party integration. Because nowadays there are multiple ready-made third-party solutions available that reduces the overall cost of the system. The recent enhancement of cross-platform technologies like Xamarine, React Native, Flutter, etc. is also playing a big decision making factor in the mobile enterprise application.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
It depends on multiple different factors as mentioned above. Brainvire has a history of delivering everything before time, and we feel that communication is the key to any relationship, the same logic we apply to our business relationships as well.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
Third party integration, Functional needs, Hardware requirements, Processing requirements and Complexity of the System are the significant factors for identifying the right platform. Apart from this, we need to understand target users, because they do have specific choices.
Which platform do you suggest your clients to begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
As mentioned above, it depends on our target audience. If anybody is looking to build luxury goods eCommerce, then we do suggest to initiate with iOS, but if somebody is looking for grocery based solution, then we do recommend iOS and Android both because it does require mass consumers. Nowadays iOS and Android, both are at their peak position, having a nearly similar consumer base, so we need to check other factors and identify the right one. We do go for an Agile LEAN canvas first with our client, so in that way, we can determine which platforms suit better.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
It depends on the various factors mentioned above. All these technologies have different capabilities, so it eventually boils down to user needs.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
The concept, Technology, and Design are the three main factors before deciding cost. As Business Owners, we understand how it is essential to have the Business Model before jumping into any of the business. We are very transparent to our client for any cost attached to the app either third party, marketing/promotion or hosting fees.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions, etc.)
We have been on the other side of the table multiple times, so we are aware of thought processes. We always ask for money once we deliver those things. We define different milestones of the project and device the payment terms in percentage from total 100 % and after successful completion of the milestones we ask for a certain percentage.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We believe in technological impact and concepts, so there is no such thing as a minimum budget. We have also developed a few low budget systems that have transformed the lives of thousands of people.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
We have helped start-ups who got acquired in multi-million dollar deals and are now listed in Nasdaq and also with enterprise customers who are pre-established.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
The business model depends on the target users and technology USPs. We are a firm believer in the Freemium model, but then also it depends on specific business flows. We have seen the success of many paid applications along with free applications combined with other revenue sources.
