Calvin Lockwood

Calvin Lockwood is an Atlanta-based commercial photographer specializing in food, beverage, still life, product, editorial, advertising and catalog photography. He has more than 20 years of experience on location or in his studio in downtown Atlanta.

In 1993, he purchased a turn-of-the-century 17,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Historic Castleberry Hill, a warehouse district converted to lofts, studios and galleries. He and his partner gutted and renovated the building into a commercial studio with their loft residence above, a rental loft and a storefront retail space. Affectionately known as the Big House, www.bighouseatlanta.com the building has been a backdrop for many of Calvin's clients as well as other photo shoots, TV shows, movies and commercials. The Big House was featured on HGTV's “Rezoned” in 2005 as the Atlanta Chicken Coup, a former life of the building in the 1940's and 50's. Their loft was also a six page spread in Atlanta's Jezebel Magazine the same year.
