Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?

CML Team Limited is a global technology consultancy that builds holistic end-to-end solutions and platforms for startups and enterprises. I’m the CEO of the company and basically responsible for managing our organization.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

We focus on helping growing startups to scale up the development of the product quickly and efficiently. We offer services to the industries we are particularly good at and help them build a long term relationship with the clients by taking some equity in exchange for lowering the price for our services. That allows us to win in the long run.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

Industries we generally cater to are FinTech, Crypto, Hospitality, and Entertainment. In most cases, we build a long term relationship with the clients, so usually, we continue to work with most of them after the pilot project gets over. I would say 90% of our clients are repetitive ones.

Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?

We provide multiple services for our clients in Crypto space, and we are continually growing our expertise and services. Our services include – Dapps and smart contracts design, development, audit, security and wallet protection, Web3 integration, Crypto exchanges’ APIs’ integrations.

Which platform do you prefer to use when developing a blockchain application? Why?

Even though we position ourselves as a platform-agnostic company, historically, we have more clients on Ethereum and EOS platforms.

What tech stack and tools do your developers use?

There’re several tools we use. To mention a few: Ethereum, Web3, Truffle, MetaMask, Scatter, Status.im, Oraclize, EOSJS, Ganache, Drizzle, and many more.

Are open source, decentralized protocols going to be more significant than their web equivalent?

We believe that each technology, each protocol solves its task. Decentralized ones solve their tasks; we do not expect the decentralized protocol to act as a “substitute” or to be “more significant.” We expect them to develop and reach their maturity in upcoming years.

What scalability and throughput challenges are there with blockchain? What solutions would you suggest?

Throughput is the primary issue with the trustless distributed systems. For blockchain developers, the challenge is to increase the overall system TPS by introducing novel consensus algorithms, sharding. Client applications may also increase performance by using off-chain communication as much as possible. This includes payment channels and other off-chain techniques.

Will the success rate of ICOs be better or worse than tech start-ups?

This is quite a controversial topic. We believe that ICOs or their future analogs should play an essential role in decentralized startups’ space. But we need to wait until regulations and blockchain technology itself become mature enough to make it possible.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a project?

We estimate the complexity based on our previous experience, this includes the amount of work to be done, the complexity of tasks, skills of resources required and risks that might apply to the successful execution of the project.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients?

It depends on our relationship nature with the client. It might be fixed price, times, and materials, we might provide a discount in exchange for some equity. Usually, we’re more interested in long term relationships with the client, so we sign long term on-going contracts with them.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?

The projects that we catered to in 2018 ranged from 20,000 to 150,000 USD.

Kindly share your feedback on how GoodFirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.

So far, we’re quite happy with our collaboration with GoodFirms, although sometimes it’s not quite easy to measure the exact impact the platform provides to us. Occasionally potential clients might find us through the platform, and sometimes that uses it as a reference to our credibility. Nevertheless, we would recommend the platform for any company that would like to increase the visibility in blockchain space as well as to the customers who are seeking a good service provider in the space.

Gaming

Client:

● Sophophilia Studios strives to innovate in an ever-expanding sea of games.

● The most important aspect is the non-traditional background in the gaming world.

● They strive to evoke emotion in the player, let it be laughter or self-reflection. The worlds are visually appealing and complex, but simple to enter.

Description:

● Some of the very first games in this space were collectibles, such as CryptoKitties. Those games utilize the ERC-721 non-fungible token protocol. This basically makes each ERC-721 token, unique, tradable and potentially very profitable.

● These games typically have a high barrier of entry due to expensive assets or have rules that mask the rarity and value to the player. Furthermore, despite the growing number of these games, many of them are cookie-cutter versions of the original with little innovation or imagination.

● Idle games have developed systems where the player may start with a foundation of units that create more units over time. While these games are simple to understand, they generally lack depth and can quickly become dull.

● CryptoMiner World by Sophophilia Studios combines the best of both crypto games’ genres to make a unique and fun experience for all players.

Solution:

● CML Team builds a blockchain protocol that handles all the complex game mechanics and supports the country sale monetization model.

● On top of that protocol, we’ve built an API that game front-end can seamlessly communicate with.

● The frontend was built using React and Redux with a focus on great UX and responsive design.

Result:

● Once the product released in gets good traction between crypto-gamers and it allows us to build built a long-term relationship with Sophophilia Studios.

Role:

● Blockchain architecture and full-cycle development from requirements specification and architecture to deployment, 3rd line support, and maintenance

Team and Duration:

● Blockchain Solution Architect and Full-Stack Engineer in development team working for 13 months (ongoing)

Industries:

● Entertainment, Gaming, Crypto

Crypto Country:

● United States

Review Summary

A while ago I worked with CML Team co-founders at Alice Platform where they were key developers of the system. Knowing well their performance, goal oriented approach and understanding how they build their team around values that are mutual with us it was quite a straightforward decision.

CML Team supports us with front-end and smart contracts development. With respect to tech stack expertise they possess - Angular, TS, Ethers, web3-modal, web3-provider, NodeJS, Solidity, Hardhat, Solidity Coverage, OpenZepelin, Transparent proxy, Ethers, Waffle, Chai.

CML Team developed new components for input and output of different user data, including statistics and the chart of the currency exchange rates. Improved the performance of the Stop Loss/Take profits and Anti-liquidation bots. Developed a new algorithm that optimizes payments to the Flashbot. This speeds up overall product development swiftly and allows us to approach investors and early adopters with holistic feature set incorporates

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

I wouldn't say there's anything I didn't like, but in order to continue to improve I'd say they just need to further grow the expertise and manpower

Review Summary

At CryptoTax we’re developing a complex taxation product for crypto space in European and International markets. Before approaching CML Team we were working with another agency, and we were not very happy with agility and services provided by that agency and at that moment we’re really concerned if we can build a product before deadline, when German customers report their taxes. One of our co-founders met CML Team at London blockchain hackathon where they were amongst runner-ups. We were impressed by their execution during that hackathon and decided to try working with them.

The task was quite challenging, to dive deeply and quickly to the codebase left from another agency, rewrite some parts of it in a proper way, and finish a number of missing features and core functionality left for MVP.

In the matter of few weeks CML Team were able to understand all the complex business logic behind our CryptoTax product, rewrite crucial backend parts in a proper solid way and in the next few months they were able to implement missing functionality and polish this product to production ready shape.

As a result, we’ve released our product just in time and in a good quality, that brings us good traction and we decided to stick with CML Team as our key development partner for a long-term relationship.

We work with them more than one year and quite happy with agility, quality of the services and insights they provide to us. Now when we’re entering new markets, we know for sure that we can rely on our development partners at CML Team.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Deep mathematical & computer science skills combined with the ability to dynamically scale in terms of time and professional requirements in a fast changing startup environment
