The Center for Legal Translation and Terminology (CTTJ) was created in 1979 by the Faculty of Law of the Université de Moncton to support the implementation of legal bilingualism in Canadian common law provinces and territories.
Inspired by the fulfillment of its mission with the French-speaking communities of Canada, the CTTJ quickly grew to the point of now being an international authority in matters of common law in French.
It also plays a key role in the network of organizations dedicated to Promoting access to justice in both official languages, thanks to the financial support of Justice Canada.
