Cyclone, founded in 2015, is a well-known RPA software and solution provider in China. Its main business is to develop and sell Cyclone Robotic Process Automation (RPA), an artificial intelligence software product with independent copyright and intellectual property rights.
The company is headquartered in Shanghai, and currently has branches and offices in over ten foreign and domestic cities, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Xi’an, and Singapore, and has established an R&D center in Silicon Valley, USA. It has expanded its business to markets such as Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. In recent years, it has continuously strengthened its capabilities in technology, talent, market, and ecology with over 500 employees at present. The founders of the company are early practitioners into the domestic intelligent automation industry, and most of its team members previously worked in famous domestic and foreign Internet and technology companies such as HP, IBM, Microsoft, Alibaba, and iFlytek.
In September 2020, the company received nearly USD 40 million in Series B financing. This round of financing was led by Matrix Partners China, and excessively co-invested by its original shareholder DCM, and other investors including Lenovo Capital, Source Code Capital, and R-Z Capital.
At present, Cyclone RPA is being widely used in many industries including finance, banking, insurance, electricity, energy, government, public safety, manufacturing, retail, logistics and high-tech industry, and has won the praise of many large and medium-sized enterprises and organizations. The company’s benchmark customers include Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Postal Savings Bank of China, CIB Fintech, Sinolink Securities, Bank of Communications Financial Leasing, State Grid, GOME, etc. In 2021, Cyclone was selected as a representative company in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and Strong Performer in Forrester Wave.
