About Us

Dalaro Shipping AB was established in 1981 in Stockholm, Sweden, under the name Dalarö Oil & Shipping AB. Since the inception we have grown to become a leading and well recognized logistic alternative for the Swedish and Finnish forest industry for the carriage of sawn timber to various destinations in Northern Africa.

Since January 2019 our Head office is located in Norrköping, Sweden.

Our business in based on two legs. The first and most important is to provide seaborne logistic solutions from the Baltic Sea for the Finnish and Swedish forest industry to ports in all North African countries.

Yearly we load on average around 2 million cbm of sawn timber and pulp. We always aim trading to ports close to the industry and we co-operate with these chosen ports to load fast and with safety in focus.

In Sweden our main port for loading is Orrskär, where we load approximately 500.000 cbm per year. Orrskär port is also the most efficient port when it comes to loading of timber in packages and setting a standard for all the other loading ports in our trade.

The second leg, are the return voyages from the Mediterranean to the Baltic. In total we load around 1,5 million tons of bulk cargoes, which is a very significant part of our business.
