Kindly share your feedback on how GoodFirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.
Our company has only been on GoodFirms for a few weeks but we have already received a nice increase in visibility. In particular, GoodFirms is enabling us to receive resumes and proposals for collaboration from excellent professionals.
Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Deep Marketing is an innovative consulting firm in the European landscape. We are already working with overseas clients, started by the U.S.
We are committed to:
  1. Building strong and successful brands through an evidence-based approach;
  2. Managing advertising campaigns and optimizing digital advertising budgets and KPIs for both SMEs and large corporations;
  3. Creation of websites, apps, AI solutions, and technology infrastructure;
  4. Public relations, press office, event management, implementation of link-building operations
Deep Marketing is headed by former managers. We are familiar with our clients' challenges because we have been in their shoes for many years.
That is why we are hyper-flexible, fast, and provide a very wide range of services to different markets. Our goal is to make life easier for our clients by providing a reliable, caring, knowledgeable "one-stop shop" that can take care of every marketing need. From a simple online campaign to the entire marketing mix.
What is the story behind starting this company?
For years I had a career in marketing in multinationals in the fashion industry. In those settings I experienced firsthand the challenges of managers, and met the first brilliant professionals with whom, years later, I decided to build Deep Marketing and give an answer to those managers' needs.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
In large part, Deep Marketing relies on apex-quality freelancers selected over the years and with attention to their ability to understand clients and deliver excellent results. We build a dedicated team for each client followed by a senior project manager.
This is the basis of our speed of response and the ability to be able to offer dozens of services.

As a positive side effect, it allows us to keep our prices extremely competitive with respect to the high level of delivery.
For smaller clients and tiny budgets, work teams are obviously simplified.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
I think the most curious thing and the real strength of Deep Marketing is the fact that the management does not come from other agencies. We are all former managers, meaning we have been our own clients. Our mindset is not someone who has worked for years in a marketing or advertising agency, so we have a very uncluttered view in terms of processes, organization, data quality processes, and innovation. We are literally demand-driven because we have been “the demand” ourselves.
Our clients realize firsthand this deep differentiation and it is always something they thank us for in feedback. They often feel somewhat frustrated by the processes and ways of working of traditional agencies and feel they can breathe when they work with us.

In addition, with our knowledge and professional team, when third-party solutions do not satisfy us, we invest in creating cutting-edge tools for us and our clients. For instance, we have recently activated an exclusive dashboard to monitor conversions and attribution of advertising campaigns, PR and press activities, and web analytics. The tracking technology is proprietary and GDPR-compliant.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
One of our differentiations is precisely that we do not focus on a single industry. We want to develop and spread know-how through the market. Time and again we have found that this helps us develop a certain "lateral thinking" that in problem-solving is saving.

Contemporary marketing is super complex, I don't think it's a good path to verticalize too much in one industry. It doesn't allow you to increase the arrows in your bow.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
It depends a lot on the size of the client.
Small companies ask for websites, minimal rebranding, and advertising management that brings quick results, such as in e-commerce or in getting leads.
Medium/large-sized clients recognize us as having great strategic expertise in branding and in our ability to be able to reposition their image to the top in a matter of months. Starting with market analysis, visual and content brandbook; then moving on to online and offline marketing, content marketing, PR, events, and social network management.
Finally, big companies or top advertising spenders ask us for help to improve advertising KPIs and optimize budgets. It is amazing how much room for improvement there is!
Some of our medium and large customers are Genertel, Tunit, Plant Based Clinic, Serpac, Stenal, Noval Group, Mediterranea Bio Veg, Entando, De AngeliProdotti, and PT Torino.
These brands are international companies and among the leaders in their market.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
The dropout rate of our clients, for now, is statistically insignificant. Which is expected since we are a small company that attracts customers largely because of our reputation. And we cannot serve hundreds of them.

I am personally rather obsessive about customer satisfaction. You notice that the (few) customers who drop out do so not because of lack of results, but because they don't feel included relationally. Customers today demand continuous feedback and to be heard. Some extremely talented freelancers no longer work with Deep Marketing because they could not make the client feel like the center of the process.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Project managers and accounts are very important to Deep Marketing and we demand that they are often available to clients, consistent with the complexity of the individual project.
We offer clients quick answers in chat, videocalls, or periodic face-to-face meetings and reports.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Different projects and tasks demand different payments. Typically, for "one shot" deliveries such as brandbooks, photo shoots, IT projects, and events, we ask for "one shot" payments. For ongoing services such as advertising campaigns or social network management or press office management, we agree to monthly or bimonthly payments.

We have recently activated a convenient feature for smaller clients. Through a monthly Stripe subscription, they can have all-inclusive both the cost of management and the media budget for marketing operations.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We are structured to serve extremely large projects but also small budgets.

Of course, you have to be realistic. No matter how small a possible client is, an agency cannot, for example, create a website for less than 2,500 euros or manage a digital campaign for less than 700 euros monthly. Put simply, valuable professionals have a minimum cost and well-done projects demand a minimum amount of man-hours and budget.

I take this opportunity to advise staying light years away from those who promise to do marketing with low budgets. Taking advantage of clients’ economic difficulties, there are increasingly more agencies in Italy that for 2000-5000 euros a year provide websites and campaign management for 12 months. If you knew how they work, you would not give them a single penny ;-)
Worse still are the gurus who promise to teach clients how to do marketing themselves. A recipe for disaster as this field is becoming increasingly difficult and specialized.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?
Taking ONLY monthly and recurring activities as a reference, the smallest project was 750 euros per month, and the largest was about 10 thousand euros per month. If I were to also consider PR and advertising budgets, however, the figure becomes higher, of course.
"One-shot" activities fluctuate up much more.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
It doesn't cost to dream, right? So, let’s dream big!
So I would like in ten years Deep Marketing to be among the "top" companies in Italy and Europe as far as respectability and a reference point for those who seek the Golden standard and quality-based marketing.

For now, we are working without respite and breaks day and night to always keep the bar of quality high and gain more and more excellent clients capable of giving us luster. We strive relentlessly and never settle. I personally invest a lot of time in developing proprietary technology solutions provided free of charge to clients, and in writing articles on marketing based on scientific papers and evidence. I believe this effort supports our brand positioning and helps us stand out in the market.
Customers recognize this to us. I want to believe that this pays off.
And, in any case, this is my mission.
