Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Divami Design Labs is a specialized UX UI Design firm. We have been in UI/UX Design space since 2008 with a focus on delivering UX Strategy, User Research, UX & UI Design, and UI Development services for a diverse set of customers. We collaborate with clients not only on the design aspect but also aid them in converting those designs into pixel-perfect screens and develop applications for mobile, web, smart TV, and wearables. With 150+ clients across the world and 12 years of industry experience, we are considered one of the top 10 UX agencies.
What is the story behind starting this company?
Initially, we started as a company building a consumer platform in the social media space. While designing and building the platform, we noticed how difficult it was to mold a decent UX UI. When the platform did not succeed, we decided to fill the gap we observed in the market by pivoting into a services company providing UX UI design and development. That’s how we started in the industry.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We do 100% of our design and UI development work with in-house team members. Some of our clients occasionally look to us to go beyond the UI as they prefer to work with a single partner for all their requirements – at such times, we involve one of our handful of partners that we rely on to provide the needed expertise but take care of overall project management and delivery.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
With 12 years of industry expertise, we have established a framework that delivers fantastic results as it focuses on user research and delivering on the expectations of our clients. We ensure the high-quality design that we deliver is not solely based on the designers’ opinion. Our designs take into account every aspect of the industry, users, and stakeholders. Furthermore, with our exceptional development capacity, we differentiate ourselves from the competition.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We cater to many industries like Healthcare, EdTech, Fintech, Travel & Tourism, Logistics & Transportation. But, importantly, we cater to our customer needs with a focused approach to these categories- B2B SaaS Products & Software, Consumer Apps & Ecommerce, and Digital Transformation for big corporates. Furthermore, 80% of our business is either from our existing customers or their referrals.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Naturally, as a design firm, most clients reach out to us for their UX UI Design & Development projects. We also provide UX strategy and consulting to them as we consider them our partners and want their business to succeed and grow.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
In terms of customer satisfaction, we are rated 4.5 out of 5 stars. Our focus is always on delivering perfection and ensuring full customer satisfaction. Our value comes from the fact that we understand our customers’ requirements and partner with them to deliver the best for their platform. For us, it is not only about assigning designers to the project; the entire team is involved from planning to execution. That is how we ensure customer satisfaction, and our numbers speak for it. We firmly believe that their success is our success.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Design is not a process completed in a vacuum. With regular meetings and discussions, we keep the feedback loop open and keep our clients updated on every little change. In these meetings, we share the work progress through wireframes and screens, provide clarity on their concerns, answer their questions, and explain every little iteration.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We have three models of payment; they are- project-based model (pay per milestone), retainer model (fixed cost), and dedicated designer model which is basically for clients looking for long-term association.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We value the long-term potential of the project more than the budget associated with it. Having said that, we do look forward to showcasing the value we bring to every UX UI design and development project we undertake. Generally, our projects range around $10,000 and go up.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
The lowest was $8,000, and the highest has been over $100,000 across multiple projects for the same client for the year.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We have already garnered a fair amount of recognition in India as a top UX UI design firm. Naturally, we are looking forward to expanding our footprint even though we have significant business from the USA and a few European countries. Over the next few years, we want to be seen as the leaders by making an impact on the world of design.

Divami played a key role in the design and development of Avana’s customer-facing flagship portal. We were responsible for the complete User Experience of the platform, as well as development of the UI with involvement right from the ideation all the way through post-rollout support. CORE (CM Office Real-time Executive) Dashboard, an e-governance initiative of Government of Andhra Pradesh is a visual display of the individual department’s KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), consolidated and arranged in a single frame so that the information can be monitored effectively by Honorable Chief Minister at a glance. The Dashboard, into which 33 State Government Departments are integrated is also available to the public, thus providing transparency in Governance. The Vision for completion of the Dashboard includes a Predictive Analytics interface for various personas to understand and analyze the KPIs.

Divami has completely revamped the User Experience for the next generation Dashboard and also helped build the UI completing the project in record time to be launched by Hon’ble President of India.

Wurkr – is the only always-on “Working Together From Anywhere” RTC (real-time-collaboration) digital video platform for remotely connected workforce, especially focusing on remote sales teams. Duke.ai is an AI driven platform that helps long-haul truck drivers manage their trucking finances. The AI engine eliminates the need for drivers to enter trip details and expenses by relying on scanned documents and emails and automatically itemizes payments, bills and expenses thereby greatly reducing paperwork effort.

We defined the User Experience and designed the UI for the entire platform from the concept stage and helped build the mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. The app is currently live in App Store and Google Playstore.
