After beginning his career as a therapist and educator, Matt made the transition to consulting out of a desire to provide talent management services to organizations. He serves as a trusted partner, seeking to identify the needs of his clients and then working to find winning solutions.

He also enjoys working with bright, highly motivated people and assisting them in taking the next steps in their careers. His style is highly collaborative and strengths-based. He believes in setting clear goals and helping his clients move forward.

Matt earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wake Forest University, a Master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee. He resides in Boone with his wife, Lauren, and spends his free time playing as much tennis as he can.
