Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
My name is Egor Egorov and I have been the owner and CEO of Egorov Agency since 2014. We keep our focus on custom development of eCommerce and WebAR, as well as GameDev projects.

Today our team consists of 35 people, although we had times when there were only two of us - it was about nine years ago. At the moment I’m concentrating on the Egorov Agency's development strategy, so my main efforts are aimed at finding reliable partners and moving the team forward.
What is the story behind starting this company?
Egorov Agency was registered in 2014, and for the first two years, we provided services for website development and multimedia presentations, contextual advertising, and SEO.

In 2016 we decided to concentrate our efforts on what we did best, namely web development and multimedia projects. Pretty soon our high results were produced, as in 4 years we managed to win more than 20 prestigious awards in various competitions. And in 2020 it allowed us to find a reliable partner from the USA, for whom we have made about 100 corporate websites and stores to date.

Also the same year, for the first time we used WebAR (augmented reality for the browser) technology from 8th Wall in a commercial project. This technology inspired us not to stop with it, so today WebAR is one of the most promising domains we work in.

We'd used 3D design before, but rarely and mostly for multimedia presentations, and since 2021 3D development (which is the most important part of WebAR) has become one of our main services. That's why in 2021-2022 we were actively involved in the development of several NFT character collections (one of which is Jenkins Yacht Valet with a capitalization of about $2.5 million). Augmented reality, character, and environment design in 2023 opened up new directions for us - game development and the Metaverse.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
In the early years, Egorov Agency cooperated very actively with freelancers, but as the number of projects and the required competencies grew, we came to the point of not working with them since 2020. This is also due to the fact that even the smartest freelancer does not contribute to the company's competence asset, and therefore to its development. By training a freelancer we lose his/her skills after the end of the project. That’s why today we hone only our in-house staff - a team of 35 experienced developers, designers, and managers.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
Many companies write the same thing when answering this question: "Our advantages include a wide range of technologies, competent managers, creative approach and solid experience in commercial development, transparent business processes, pleasant prices, and much more”. We have all this, but for me, there is one more important point - the fact that the company is called Egorov Agency. It means that I am personally responsible for every project we do. I am proud of the Egorov Agency team, I don't have to feel sorry for them! The team is the most important resource of Egorov Agency.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We are very proud of the fact that the percentage of clients who come to us repeatedly is over 90%.

Along with the growth of Egorov Agency, our client profile is also changing; if previously we worked mostly with small businesses, now it is medium-sized businesses from the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.

As such, we do not specialize by industry, as we can make a good website or store for any client. Most often we are approached by advertising agencies, financial, legal, medical, construction, telecommunications companies, real estate agencies, and startups.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
The presentation of our company starts with the phrase: "A trust-based relationship is better than a short holiday romance." This is how we position business relationships with our clients - we strive to build them long-term and trustful.
Here are just some of the steps we follow for clients to increase their satisfaction levels:

Egorov Agency offers clients several levels of support:
  • Standard Support: This level means that a manager will respond to your request within one hour during working hours. They will promptly answer your questions, gather necessary information, register the issue, assign a responsible staff member to resolve it, and provide an estimate for any additional work if needed.
  • Guarantee Support: Within one year after project completion, we offer a warranty guaranteeing that we will address any issues that arise during the project:
    • within 8 hours for critical issues.
    • within 24 hours for medium-priority issues.
    • within 72 hours for low-priority issues.
  • Custom Support: We also offer custom support tailored to the specific preferences and needs of the client. This may include any other requests or requirements.
At Egorov Agency, we strive to provide comprehensive support to ensure the smooth operation of projects and address any issues that may arise promptly and efficiently.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Most commonly, we use two payment methods:
  • Time-based billing: In this case, we invoice every two weeks based on the tracking system report. You will be billed for the actual time spent on tasks and work for the project. This payment method is particularly suitable for projects where it is challenging to determine exact requirements or project timelines.
  • Milestone-based payment: With this method, the project is divided into some stages, which we refer to as "milestones." After the completion of each milestone, we will issue a corresponding invoice for payment. This payment method is typically used when the project has a clear structure and defined stages of completion.
We are open to discussing payment options that best suit your needs and preferences. Payment discussion is an important part of our process, and we are ready to have detailed conversations and negotiate specific payment terms to accommodate clients’ requirements.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Our business processes are well-optimized, allowing us to take on even small projects with a budget of around $1000. It's crucial for the project cost to be proportional to the required scope of work. If a client's budget is lower than the required amount, we can propose alternative implementation options in such cases. We highly value long-term relationships with clients and are ready to offer discounts for future collaborations and engaging projects.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2022?
In 2022, our smallest project was completed for $750, which involved a small WebAR project for a private client from France. On the other hand, our largest project in 2022 lasted over a year and had a cost of approximately $250,000. This project included the development of a platform for creating corporate websites. We take pride in our ability to cater to a wide range of project sizes and budgets, ensuring that each client receives the optimal solution for their needs.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
I believe that Egorov Agency will be globally recognized and respected in 10 years. Our plan is to find strategic partners for each of our areas of expertise and establish offices in key regions such as the United States, the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, and China. This will enable us to undertake iconic and recognizable projects.

In 10 years, we will be using different technologies than we use today, but it still will be something innovative and in demand, and perhaps we will even create something icebreaking ourselves. Naturally, our team will be growing, likely to 200-300 people. However, I would like us to remain a dynamic and creative team that embraces changes and adapt to them quickly.

One thing that will never change is that Egorov Agency continues to employ talented professionals united in a close-knit international team.
