Evrone Executive Interview
Annually we organize different events from local meetups to the biggest Ruby/Ruby on Rails conference in Russia. These events help our developers maintain the highest level of the quality of our projects and help our company to hire the best of the best specialists in our teams.
I manage most aspects of the company's progress, empowering more businesses to build great online products.
Not long after, it became clear that we were able to do more, something that went beyond eSports — we decided to start a web development company.
For a whole year, we programmed from the apartment. Later I was laid off, and it became clear that I had to either start my own business or be hired again. My wife supported me, and despite all the fear, we founded Evrone. And in 2008, the main direction of our team was born — the development of web projects.
Other than MVPs for startups, the company engineers augment in-house development teams. That mostly comes because of the strong Ruby expertise in the company. Most of the companies know Evrone as one of the leaders on Ruby on Rails development.

They put such care and attention to detail that will make all the difference to the end user. What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
Evrone provides great support in guiding us through the process. We’ve never created a mobile app before, so we had no idea about the field. Their team provides robust explanations of how everything works, what’s the process like, and how long things will take. Whenever we can’t understand something, they always explain things to us well and i respect their team so much for their commitment and hard work.

No, there aren’t any. We’ve had such a great experience with them and never had any errors or misunderstandings. If we’re not on the same page, it’s quickly cleared up. Whenever there’s any miscommunication, it’s simply because we don’t know what we’re doing, and we rely on them to tell us how to complete our project — they’re great at it.

What were your goals for this project?
After several years of the platform work, we have collected a large technical debt related to DevOps work. Our project environment was extremely unstable. Due to the poor configuration of our microservice architecture, sometimes we experienced the fall of our application services and even the database.
Evrone implemented a number of effective features. They're efficient with their internal communication and displayed responsiveness. Remaining helpful, they kept the client informed with every step completed. They proved to have a high level of expertise and were proactive.
What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?
Besides communication, I appreciated how they understood our project needs and how they accurately described different ways to help us to achieve the desired result. I impressed with how proactive they are and the expertise of their DevOps team.
