Following a successful career in advertising account management, Jill Detwiler joined Fristoe & Carleton as an executive recruiter in 2000. Within a decade, she assumed leadership of Fristoe & Carleton, launching the next generation of the firm and renaming it F&C Executive Search and Recruiting. F&C’s roots go back to 1987, when Jack Fristoe launched a two-man executive search firm, Timbers & Fristoe, aimed at the marketing, advertising and public relations professions. The firm grew quickly, helped by Jack’s background as a former advertising executive, and in 1993 ad industry veteran Robert Carleton joined the company. He became a partner two years later, and was instrumental in helping Jack leading the firm, renamed Fristoe & Carleton, to its position as one of the leading niche executive search firms in the country.
