Board Business - Mobile app & CRM platform for Business Community

February 2023 - Present

Challenges

  1. Need to create a social network where members can find each other easily & exchange knowledge
  2. Urge for a way to simplify and automate the work of Board staff
  3. Non-techie customer with a limited budget to revamp already running business with set-up processes

Solutions

  1. Networking mobile app under a tight budget
  2. Standardized & digitalized Board processes into a unified system
  3. Personalized human-like AI assistant

Features

  1. Social media for entrepreneurs
Inside Board app, users can create their own profiles, add up loads of information about them or go to the profile of other Board members to network with anyone more efficiently. Just simply by checking each other profiles, users already can scrap important information about their fellow enterpreneurs.
  2. Personal human-like AI assistant
By leveraging vector-based data recognition mechanisms and combining them with OpenAI's LLM, we created a solution that generates human-like responses in real-time. A human-like AI assistant immediately handles any simple request from Board members, like helping them find the necessary info, guiding them through the app, or spilling the beans about the events. Smart AI assistant also helps users fill in their profiles, scrapping only essential info from their social media or any resources they share.
  3. Own event manager
Event functionality inside the Board app allows members to create their event schedule, edit events whenever needed, or plan, interact, and react to the events of other fellow members. With it, users can now sign up or follow the events they like in a few clicks.
  4. Smart filtering and search
Inside the Board app, users can easily find not only each other but also filter all members by their business industry, hobbies, interests, clubs, etc. It enables users to connect with each other fast, easily, and without any unnecessary headaches.

November 2022 - January 2024

Challenges

  1. No processes for system setup
  2. Absent file transfer process
  3. Undermined scalability by complex data exchange

Solutions

  1. Custom Kubernetes Operator
  2. Scheduler system for parallel file transfer
  3. Integrating SFTPGO for file sharing

Features

  1. Comprehensive permission system
We built an extensive security framework with customizable access levels, enabling both external and internal teams to safely access only the files they need. It ensures data security while reducing the need for complex manual setups.
  2. Self-Service Setup
Once the service is up and running, teams can onboard and configure it without constant technical help. Settings are flexible but simple, so support teams aren’t overloaded, and new users can start quickly with minimal guidance.
  3. Customized FileGateway Service for unified file access
We built a file sharing service (FileGateway) that works with both modern and traditional systems. External partners or internal users can access the same files using either AWS S3 or the older SFTP method, whichever works best for them. Behind the scenes, files are stored in one secure place, but users don’t need to worry about how it works.

December 2014 - December 2018

Challenges

  1. Deficiency of structuring IT processes
  2. Issues when working with the client interface
  3. Insufficiency of documents' protection from forgery
  4. Shortage of automation of interaction with the websites of state government agencies

Solutions

  1. Redesign and modification of the client cabinet
  2. Implementation of the electronic signature hash function
  3. Process optimization of providing personal access
  4. Systematization of IT works by priority

Features

  1. Server for notifying doctors about the expiration of a certificate or license
Previously, doctors used the Medspoke service only when the CME had already expired or was about to expire, as a result of which, after the extension of the documentation, the client could no longer contact the company. The introduction of the notification server made it possible to inform previously registered users about the license expiration in 180 days.
  2. Development and implementation of the CME tracker
Since the renewal of a medical license required the development of CME hours in different areas and specializations, each client had to provide the manager with the entire list of completed classes.
  3. Implementing a client-oriented document editor
Previously, to renew certificates and documents, the doctor-client had to manually fill out complicated forms for many lines with personalized information, which required the use of piles of papers.

List and Ride - Marketplace for online bike-sharing
May 2025 - May 2021

Challenges

  1. Duration and disorganization of the IT process
  2. Malfunctions and lack of necessary functionality
  3. Lack of data on project progress and conversion

Solutions

  1. Alignment of IT processes
  2. System monitoring and implementation of automated tests
  3. Implementation of analytics, SEO and project scaling

Features

  1. Intuitive admin panel and user account
The initial MVP did not have a system for uploading content in 6 languages, updating bicycle assortment, and administering user or customer data. As a solution, we implemented an adaptive administration system of 11 blocks to manage content without working with marketplace source code. We managed to automate content uploading and moderate information about users thanks to integrating third-party libraries and several plugins.
  2. Payment form
Redesign and improvement of the payment form. There were failures in the payment interface, the complete absence of mobile payments, and the inaccessibility of many payment types. For that reason, users often "abandoned" their shopping carts. The FTL team redesigned the user payment form, fixed several bugs and glitches, and added many alternative payment types and methods, including integration with PayPal.

  3. Smart Booking Calendar
Users are often confused about where they rented a bike, for what date, how, and where to rent a bike. We developed a unique calendar to simplify the interaction between users and booking companies. Thanks to well-designed integration algorithms and the implementation of notification systems, including SMS mailing, users could easily find information about the bike in their account.

Sharp - Digital real estate platform
December 2017 - December 2018

  1. Challenges
  2. Shortage of roadmap and project structure
  3. Lack of up-to-date, proven real estate database
  4. Deficiency of the management system of the clients, users and realtors data

Solutions

  1. Development of project technical documentation
  2. Integration of Sharp Realty with MLS database
  3. Development and implementation of a universal administration panel

Features

  1. Customizing custom property search
Considering that the process of buying real estate is time-consuming and complex in its procedures, FTL specialists have developed an adaptive search system. So, after a user had selected the filtering characteristics, the map displays all offers, where a user could get more detailed information and even mortgage calculations for a particular object by click. Besides, we saved the history of filtering and requests with multichannel notification about new proposals or actions about the selected item for all users. It allowed bringing the majority of users to deal with the help of Sharp Realty.
  2. Map of real estate objects available for viewing
Given the specifics of the Canadian real estate market, the properties for sale have a strictly defined viewing visit time. FTL specialists have developed and implemented the function of displaying objects, that you can see on the map for purchase purpose. Also, each user could select several points of interest at the same time, through which the system independently created a map for convenient visits, which you can upload to the navigator. It helped to maximally bind the client to the platform and to the managers who guide the selected objects to close the deal.

  3. Responsive real estate seller’s account
Sharp Realty’s focused on not only modernizing the purchasing processes but also meeting the needs of sellers. For this purpose, the FTL team has created an adaptive seller’s account, which allowed selling via a realtor, who would satisfy the needs of a seller. It reduced the percentage of the intervention of the brokerage company’s specialists, while maximally binding sellers to the platform.

Setter - Hydride platform for house management
December 2016 - Present

Challenges

  1. Absence of additional access channels to the platform
  2. Increase of load on the platform
  3. Technical servicing complexities of the startup

Solutions

  1. Development of multichannel interaction system
  2. Migration of the platform to GoogleCloud
  3. Copying of the platform from Rust Legacy to Node

Features

  1. Development of the unified platform management system
As a result of the implementation of the multichannel interaction strategy, the process of controlling and servicing users' inquiries gets complicated. FTL specialists developed a universal administration panel that permits monitoring users' queries quickly and conveniently 24/7. Setter managers could manage the priority of orders, working schedules, and service client requests faster. As a result, managers' load with routine work decreased, and the productivity of the startup team increased.
  2. Functionality extension of client payment form
Setter includes more than 100 household repair and maintenance services; many of them require to carry out work with the purchase of construction materials or components. Earlier, the company had to purchase the required list of materials at its own expense, which was frozen in service until the completion of the order. The introduction of the deposit system into the payment form with the preliminary calculation of necessary costs for purchase and reservation of expenses on the service is a solution to the problem. It simplified the working process and saved large funds for the company.

  3. Personalization of the companys' services to geolocation filters
As the startup operates simultaneously in 2 countries, earlier, the Setter offered services for all regions, ignoring the individual needs of households. It complicated the choice of necessary tasks and users could be confused while using the app. FTL specialists developed the service selection algorithm based on the user's IP. Due to the integrated option, a user from the USA and Canada, first of all, gets offers, considering geolocation, household problems typical for climate, and actual user inquiries of a specific location. As a result, services were personalized without the development of separate platforms for every country.

Solutions

  1. Creation of a hybrid system of module access
  2. Implementing user authentication
  3. Catering order customization

Features

  1. Implementing hybrid system RoR + React on the UI side of the platform
To optimize network speed, request processing, and fast rendering of module pages by dynamic components, FTL specialists performed server-side rendering for a React application using Ruby on Rails. It optimized the process of working with applications in terms of constantly changing infrastructure and reducing the operational load on the server in further scaling the platform.
  2. Optimization of app and module development with Apollo GraphQL
In deploying new modules, the project management decided to abandon the use of Rest in the API completely. To improve the usability of the system, increase the flexibility of the data exchange process, and increase the efficiency of collaboration between front-end and back-end teams, the FTL developers transferred the platform to a GraphQL converter.

FTL specialists are working on the implementation of container architecture by Amazon EKS applications. The work is expected to comprehensively optimize the application launch process in a local environment, increase service resiliency, and reduce customer expenses for integrating the solution with third-party applications.
  2. Analytics optimization and log centralization by migration to Elastic Cloud
A transition to a microserver environment with high computational capabilities is required to increase the solution flexibility, implement a security monitoring system, and centralize the analysis and storage of logs. As a solution, the FTL specialists chose to migrate databases to AWS RDS and Elastic Cloud: it will expand the serviceability according to the changing needs of users and provide perspectives for Machine Learning integration.

  3. Standardization of the service interface development process
Obsolescence of the application required regular work on improving the design and architecture of the service. But due to the increase in the number of specialists working with the visual component of ScreenSteps, the number of code elements added to the existing architecture increased too. It required more time for interface optimization and made control of all the FrontEnd components of the application more difficult. To optimize the work, specialists implemented a system of permissions, making it possible to create and view existing and new components. It allows you to work with individual components and prepare new UI elements, considering working solutions to increase controllability and accelerate the new functionality implementation.
