Bill B. Bumgarner founded Fleetmaster Express Inc. in 1987, after purchasing a small transportation company in his home of Roanoke, VA. Initially, Fleetmaster Express’ niche was hauling temperature controlled produce for large chain grocery stores with two tractor-trailers.
