Challenges:

Bilbao City Council's Fire Department needed a solution that could face different issues:

  1. Protect Lives with Real Time Guidance.
  2. Make integration with current systems easier.
  3. A specifically-designed solution for firefighters.

Solution:

Galde created an Analytical platform to optimize firefighters’ interventions and tactics in incidents, by combining:

  1. Galde’s Knowledge from industrial Business Intelligence (Logistics)
  2. Neural Network to consider constraints
  3. Time Series Modelling.

To build that, we considered Data Providers from the REACH Incubator program, a European program to boost selected startups' projects, as well as Basque Open Data sources, and Firefighters' Management System.

Then, we built a Big Data architecture that could treat the data quickly by using a time-series database (InfluxDB), and finally we displayed the information by using Galde's Dashboard Generator.

Impact:

We are currently defining the prototype with the Bilbao City Council after having participated in the REACH Incubator program, so that we can help Bilbao's citizens with this project.

To make BELCA's sales operations more efficient, Galde had to implement a CRM software (HubSpot), integrate it with Oracle databases, and build dashboards to facilitate business intelligence tasks.

Challenges:

The BELCA Group has a long history in the food packaging market. When it comes to managing teams, for many years the instinct of management has been relied on to run the company correctly.

Nonetheless, the group had to improve its information systems and upgrade them to their current situation and market.

Solution:

  1. Ensure data quality in all information systems.
  2. Configuration of the dashboard and CRM and integration with all existing information systems.
  3. CRM training for the person in charge of the sales team.
  4. Implementation in HubSpot of the business process defined.
  5. Manuals for loading data and interpreting indicators.

Impact:

  1. Sales team now runs with integrated software to have a predictable and results-oriented work process.
  2. Managers and salespeople save time associated with reporting tasks.
  3. New data sources and indicators have been integrated into the company's general report.

For this, from Galde it is proposed to work with tools that provide data and streamline processes, in order to gradually become more sophisticated and optimize the activity of the Boilermaking company.

Challenges:

Calderería Iturralde is an SME that has been operating in the production business for many years. When controlling the work process, it has been customary to make a simple imputation in spreadsheets, but said
sheets had a lot of missing information.

Times have changed, and due to the increasing demands and agility of the market, it is necessary to have the right tools to work with a data-based mentality, which in turn facilitate work planning and optimization of related processes.

Solution:

  1. Ensure data quality in all information systems.
  2. Configuration of the Microsoft PowerBI and ERP Odoo dashboard and integration between these systems, enabling future integrations (SAGE).
  3. Configuration of stock management and product catalog.
  4. Automatic generation of project phases and control tasks from the budget.
  5. ERP training for the technical office.

Impact:

  1. Technical Office with integrated software to have a predictable and results-oriented work process.
  2. Alignment of interests between the Technical Office, Administration and Management to screen the best customers and suppliers in the value chain.

AI Saturdays (or AI6) is a global non-profit community, consisting of reaching all Intelligence education Artificial of the quality and rigor of the best universities in the world.

From the hand of Galde, Global Shapers Bilbao and Camp Tecnológico, in addition to a network of sponsors among which are comprised by SPRI, Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia and Kutxa Kultur, the AI6 community comes to Bilbao and Donostia-San Sebastian.

In this case, Galde's role has been to develop the courses' curriculum, as well as to link technical instructors and lead the courses' development.

Challenges:

In this situation, our clients are people that want to reinvent themselves and learn more about AI for multiple purposes (university students, professionals that want to test AI in their daily activity, AI professionals that want to network, etc.).

So, our main challenge has been to create certain courses' curriculum that can cater all the targets and still create the seed of a community that can be relevant for all of them.

Solution:

  1. We built the curriculum that has been taught, both for Machine Learning and Deep Learning courses.
  2. We have coordinated 4 editions of 15 sessions each (each session being a Saturday that lasts 4h), in different locations of San Sebastian and Bilbao.
  3. We have arranged various Demo Day events to present the projects, both to companions and local authorities.

Impact:

  1. More than 60 people have participated and completed the different editions in Bilbao and San Sebastian.
  2. 70% of participants improved their professional situation, got better job offers, or switched their job career to AI.
  3. The average rating of the program has been of 9.3/10.

In mid-2019, and with the support of BerriUp and Easo Ventures, Comadera, a B2B platform that transforms relations between agents operating in the wood sector was created. It allows you to buy, receive quotes and compare prices, delivery times, etc. Simplify the chain, eliminating intermediaries that do not add value to the final product.

In mid-2020, the startup needed help to move forward with the development, and Galde has assisted on that process for the last 3 years.

Challenges:

Since mid-2020, Galde has supported this startup to develop multiple processes that were relevant for the eCommerce platform management, as well as to give the startup all the tools to create, update and delete their own SEO, product catalog, etc.

Additionally, Galde has given insights and directed the conversation with R&D centers, etc. in order to give the startup new chances to apply for R&D projects by developing recommender systems for their platform.

In August 2023, Comadera has decided to hire new people, so it has been the moment to move on Galde's role.

Solution:

  1. Galde made several developments over the eCommerce platform Comadera has, in terms of backoffice management, SEO management, product management, sales and invoicing management and compliance, etc.
  2. Additionally, Galde has done data consulting to Comadera to assess them on artificial intelligence solutions related to recommender systems that could be applicable to them.

Impact:

We provided them the technical continuity of their business during 3 years.
