Skilled Team & Amazing Communication

Wonderful experience having them create a wordpress website. While we picked a template, we asked for many small and large formatting changes, and custom programming for it. We had an extensive meeting to lay out expectations - and once that was done, got a quote and timeline. They were clear about what they needed and worked so well with our layouts - simple google slides with rough ideas from us based on the templates. Their team was gracious with us the entire time. Their responsiveness to our questions was excellent and the communication style was too. We had a few team meetings by Zoom, and they suggested tools for our site that we didn't know existed - and they made our ideas much better. I heartily recommend them for your next project!

Great results and a Great Team to work with

I have worked with Ashish & Jay from Imenso Software Solutions on multiple web development projects over the past few years and it's been always a great experience. They are very easy to talk to and they respond very quickly to changes and updates through the duration of the project.

Imenso Software is the top leader in the software development sector. Since our inception, we have been committed to delivering IT outsourcing services worldwide. In the past decade, we've created software solutions, websites, mobile applications across various industries. We translate ideas into reality for our clients. Over the years, we have extended our services, and today we cover eCommerce development, web design & development, app development, digital marketing, content marketing, enterprise software consultation, product R&D, and more.

What was the idea behind starting this organization?
We envisioned commencing the software plans and deploying technologies to build brands on the internet. We started our first web design and development project under the name Imenso Software.

While running the company, developing the software, and interacting with clients, we understood their underlying needs. Our clients aren't just looking for software or a website. Instead, they are looking for a means to expand their reach, to build deeper connections with customers and genuine engagement.

We started looking at our business in a different light. Our ultimate goal is to offer your business intelligent, robust, unique software solutions for greater profits and a high Return on Investment (ROI).
What is your company's business model – in-house team or third-party vendors/outsourcing?
We are a fully in-house company with a team of developers, designers, testers, and business analysts. Our expertise and rich infrastructure help us deliver excellence throughout the software development lifecycle - from ideation to deployment. We have 80+ professionals working in our 2 different offices in India.

We hire the best talent from top universities in the country. Our primary focus is to train and retain the top minds in the company. Hiring and training our resources to work for startups and enterprises is our top priority as this directly affects the quality of code and final product.

How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
We are product creators! From the first consultation to the final delivery, we build tangible enterprise value. Our value addition metrics reside in the success of our software development projects. Increasing business impact, cost reduction, and actual revenue streams are our focus.

For us, we always stay clear that great products are not the ones with the best code or tech stack. Rather a product that the customers love and drive profit for the company. We don't take up every project that comes our way, and we see that it's backed with a solid business model with good chances to dominate the existing market. And we always express such concerns in the initial meetings with the client to set clear goals for the product.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?
Education, construction & real estate, fintech, food tech, marketplaces, eCommerce & retail, transportation, logistics, e-health systems, e-learning, media, and communications, etc. These are startups, enterprises, and SMEs that are launching new products into the market.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a software project?
Determining a time frame depends on the client's end goals - what does the software bring to their business? Then we conduct thorough research to define an MVP, along with the ideal customer persona, best features, and other details. This helps us get an accurate estimate of the time required.

If the client has an urgent requirement, we work with senior developers and a bigger team. Although it's not always the solution as the type of software is essential.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of software?
It depends on what kind of software needs to be developed. More time has to be devoted to the backend if the project has complex systems with customized functionality and rich features. However, if a project has a trickier interface or detailed presentation like animations, frontend solutions will require more time.

On a more general note, around 70% of the time goes into building the backend and 30% for the frontend. But this is an estimate, not the actual figures. The ratios might look 90:10 depending upon the complexity of the project.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for developing software?
Again that depends on the sophistication of the software required and the type of project. For instance, if the client needs a new eCommerce website with all the trendy features - that is a different set of development modules, strategies, and algorithms. But for a client looking to update their business website will take lesser strategies, time, and tech.
 
Our basis for choosing the right tech stack comes from a user perspective, project ROI, and business goal. The main parameters also depend on the following:
  • User demographic.
  • Clients' business model.
  • Platform's safety, scalability.
  • Capacity for high traffic loads.
  • Project deadlines.
  • Project revenue model.
  • Budget, etc.
Which platform and frameworks do you prefer to use in the development of software?
Based on the project, we choose technologies that are easy to upgrade, scale and integrate new features quickly. While choosing platforms and frameworks, we ensure that clients can maintain their projects on their own after development.

Our specialization is PHP and Python for backend, and for frontend, we pick Javascript. For web development projects, we choose angular, node.js, and react.js. All these frameworks work best for enterprise-grade solutions.

For mobile app development projects, we use React Native, Android, and iOS, depending on the target market of the client's product.
Which Content Management System do you prefer to use (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.)?
We choose WordPress as it is easy to scale, secure, and has many themes for later integration. We also use Spotify, Joomla, and Drupal for customized client requirements.
Do you provide software maintenance services?
Yes. We have an experienced and dedicated team of testers and QA specialists. Our team detects issues and solves them, upgrades the product as per user behavior, and releases new software versions.

We also have legal agreements in place for well-defined software maintenance services with maintenance responsibilities, data storage, and other details. We deliver an excellent product and development experience after the release phase.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of software development?
We evaluate the project on selected factors -
  • The scope of the project.
  • Deliverables.
  • Team size and resources.
  • Project size for custom software development.
  • Deadlines and timeframes.

Additional requirements like software maintenance policy, the number of devices software will be used on, etc. After the evaluations, we choose the tech stack with the client's agreement and then quote the price.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
The three major engagement models are fixed cost (payment is fixed for a set of pre-decided features or milestones), monthly/hourly (pricing for no. of hours developers hired for), and time & material.

Our payment structures are flexible, but we mainly use time and material-based contracts. This agile method allows us to adapt according to the project requirements rapidly. We also provide an estimated cost for each development phase and risk analysis. So that client has a realistic idea of the total cost.
Do you take on projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If not, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
The minimum cost of a project is $5000. But for a new idea and opportunity to work on the latest technology, we are open to working on projects with less than a $5000 budget in the initial stages. But if the project is not completed, clients prolong the engagement contract.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2019?
Our project range is between $5000 and $200,000.
