IOX GmbH, based in Cologne, Germany, is a development partner for connected products. We support manufacturers from the first product idea to a market-ready device in series production: product strategy and business case, prototype and MVP, series development, certification and approval, plus operations and maintenance.

What sets our approach apart: we take responsibility for every discipline together. Electronics and hardware, embedded software, cloud architecture, systems engineering and industrialisation sit with one partner, instead of four suppliers waiting on each other. Added to that is experience in areas that are typically difficult for connected devices: battery-powered products, cellular connectivity, e-paper and display development, and manufacturing in Asia including certification.

What we have learned: connected products rarely fail because of technology. They fail because of decisions made before the first line of code. That is why every project with us starts with clarification, not implementation.

IOX was founded in 2015 and is based in Cologne. Our clients are manufacturers in machinery and plant engineering, electronics, medical technology and consumer goods.
