Linas Platform

Linas Platform is a one-person DevOps practice. I'm Linas Mackevičius, a DevOps engineer based in Vilnius, Lithuania, and I work remotely with companies in Europe — two hours ahead of London, one ahead of Berlin — and with US East Coast teams during their mornings.

I set up or sort out your CI/CD, logging and cloud so that the system fixes some failures by itself, and I stay on to look after it all for as long as you need. If you have no DevOps person yet, I set things up and look after them myself; if you already have one, I take on a single project or work alongside them. I pick the simplest thing that works at your size.

Six jobs I take on:

• Logging and observability — including the facts for a first NIS2 incident report
• CI/CD pipeline
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Secrets management
• Migration to Kubernetes
• Switching providers, with a way back

Clouds: AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Exoscale.

Some of what I've done in my previous role as an employed DevOps engineer (2025–2026):

• Monthly observability bill €8k → €3k: I wrote the Helm charts and configuration from scratch for VictoriaMetrics and VictoriaLogs clusters and set up the metrics and log collection.
• Built two production Kubernetes clusters myself and worked across eight in total, all managed with Terraform and Pulumi.
• Moved services off Docker Compose onto Kubernetes on DigitalOcean, then from DigitalOcean to Exoscale.

The first job can be a two-to-three-day infrastructure review with read-only access: a written list of risks ranked by how much they matter, whether restoring your backups has ever been tested, and where you are overpaying for cloud. Everything I build stays in your repositories and accounts, documented.
