What Users Like The Most

  • What stood out most was how proactive and calm the team was, even under pressure. Midway through the migration, we ran into a third-party vendor issue that threatened to delay the whole project. Spellbind immediately initiated a workaround that involved decoupling the affected app and temporarily hosting it in a hybrid configuration until the vendor-side fix was ready. Their technical creativity, coupled with their ability to maintain calm under pressure, was truly impressive.
  • The standout quality was how Spellbind managed to bridge deep technical expertise with genuine client empathy. It’s rare to find a team that is so well-versed in cloud architecture and DevOps best practices but can also communicate clearly and patiently with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Spellbind doesn’t just “do Kubernetes.” They make sure it works for your business. Their team brings a strategic mindset, helping you look beyond implementation to think about performance, security, and long-term maintainability.

What Users Like The Least

  • If I had to nitpick, it would be that the initial timeline estimation was a bit optimistic — not by much.
  • None
  • Due to the complexity of our legacy infrastructure, some phases took a bit more time than originally scoped.

Their expertise, clarity, and partnership mindset made a complex transition feel seamless.

Spellbind kicked off the engagement with a comprehensive audit of our existing systems and worked closely with our DevOps and engineering teams to align on goals and future scalability. They then designed and implemented a highly available Kubernetes cluster, containerized our core applications, and revamped our CI/CD workflows using GitLab.

They introduced infrastructure as code via Helm and Terraform for consistency across environments, and integrated observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki to improve monitoring and alerting. Finally, they ensured smooth internal adoption with detailed documentation and hands-on training sessions for our team.

What was the project name that you have worked with Spellbind?

Kubernetes Implementation for SaaS Infrastructure.

What service was provided as part of the project?

Cloud Computing Services, DevOps

Describe your project in brief

We brought in Spellbind to help us modernize our infrastructure and address long-standing bottlenecks in our deployment and scaling processes. Our backend services were running across a fragmented set of virtual machines, which had grown organically over time and became increasingly difficult to manage. Deployments were inconsistent, scaling was manual, and outages during updates were becoming more frequent.

The primary goal was to migrate our SaaS platform to a Kubernetes-based infrastructure, enabling us to scale more efficiently, reduce downtime, and streamline the development-to-deployment lifecycle. We also needed help creating an environment where infrastructure could evolve alongside our product without causing disruptions to our users.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Spellbind doesn’t just “do Kubernetes.” They make sure it works for your business. Their team brings a strategic mindset, helping you look beyond implementation to think about performance, security, and long-term maintainability.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Due to the complexity of our legacy infrastructure, some phases took a bit more time than originally scoped.

Since completing the transition, we have benefited from stronger integration.

Spellbind started with a thorough audit of our AWS environment and created a detailed migration roadmap. They designed a custom Azure infrastructure tailored to our needs, re-mapped workloads to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and optimized some apps using Azure Functions. Our databases were smoothly migrated to Azure SQL with minimal downtime, and our CI/CD pipelines were rebuilt using Azure DevOps for better deployment control. They also handled security and compliance setup, ensuring alignment with our internal policies. Post-migration, they provided clear documentation and conducted training sessions to empower our internal team.

Flawless Cloud Migration from AWS to Azure

What service was provided as part of the project?

Cloud Computing Services

Describe your project in brief

We engaged Spellbind to support our migration from AWS to Azure, and the experience was exceptional. As a growing software development firm, we had scaled quite a bit on AWS, but our long-term strategy leaned toward Microsoft-based platforms, particularly due to tighter integrations with our development tools and internal business software.
Our internal team had limited experience with Azure, and while we were confident in our own infrastructure management, we needed deep expertise to plan and execute the migration without impacting our ongoing development cycles. Spellbind was brought in to bridge that gap, ensure continuity, and help us make a technically sound and cost-effective transition.

They don’t just migrate your infrastructure, they transform how your teams operate and scale.

Working with Spellbind.io on our AWS cloud migration was a transformative experience. They began with a thorough infrastructure assessment and created a clear, phased roadmap tailored to our scalability and security needs. Key deliverables included a customized AWS architecture, secure migration of on-prem data to RDS and S3, re-architecture of internal apps using ECS, and implementation of CI/CD pipelines via GitLab and Terraform. They also optimized IAM and SSO, and set up post-migration monitoring using CloudWatch. Impressively, Spellbind collaborated closely with our compliance and finance teams to ensure the new system aligned with internal policies and budgets, making the entire transition seamless and efficient.

A Seamless Cloud Migration Journey with Spellbind

What service was provided as part of the project?

Cloud Computing Services, DevOps

Describe your project in brief

We brought in Spellbind with a specific mission: to lead and manage our complete cloud migration initiative. As an IT services and consulting firm, we had a sprawling mix of legacy systems, on-prem databases, and development environments that weren’t scaling well. Our internal teams had been weighing the move to AWS for quite some time, but the complexity of migrating while maintaining uptime across multiple internal and client-facing tools was daunting. What we needed was not just a lift-and-shift, but a rethinking of our infrastructure — built for scalability, automation, and efficiency.

We hired Spellbind to evaluate our infrastructure, design a secure, scalable AWS cloud architecture, perform the migration, and introduce CI/CD pipelines to streamline our future deployments. In short: we wanted to future-proof our operations without disrupting our day-to-day business.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

The standout quality was how Spellbind managed to bridge deep technical expertise with genuine client empathy. It’s rare to find a team that is so well-versed in cloud architecture and DevOps best practices but can also communicate clearly and patiently with non-technical stakeholders.
