The example logos they showed looked ok. Not great, but not bad. I wrote out what I was looking for, described the mascot I was looking for, gave urls to examples of the style and said I wanted something unique.

They sent me back mascots that were a completely different style I was looking for. I noticed that the mascots looked too much like Stock images or clipart. So I did a Google search (you can take an image from your computer and get matches for similar images). Sure enough, I found all the clipart images they were using.

I went back and said I didn't want clipart to be used and wanted something unique. I got more examples, and none were in the styles that I sent them. I asked for my money back and they refused to give me my money back. I got pissed and was yelling at them. We ended up talking further and I gave them another shot.

I went with a simpler design with silhouettes. I created examples using paint.net in about 2 minutes. I said, something like this, but good. I got back 3 more examples from them. They only looked slightly better than what I had done, also, still using clipart.

At this point I said I was disappointed, didn't want to work with them, told them they weren't listening to me. They lacked the talent and were still using clipart.

I got a response back saying that they do not use stock images or clipart. I sent them a response back with about 6-8 links to just some of the stock images and clipart they used and I asked for an apology (I wasn't going to get my money back). I haven't heard from them since.

I'm out $150. Not the end of the world for me. The amount of stress and anxiety this caused, it's not worth it to me to try again to get my money back. Instead, I beg you, go somewhere else. I don't believe any of the good reviews are actually from paying customers.
