project goal: To adapt previously developed corporate website into 6 languages.

work summary: We have created 6 website versions in different languages for the appliance brand Polaris and reduced their maintenance costs 3 times.

In order to minimize the time spent on the 6 language versions, we created a single database. It allowed us to add information and manage product characteristics from a single administration panel, which provided access to content for all language versions.

Next to the multilingual structure of the product database, the site’s search engine was developed. Added functionality allowed using product materials in the language which was the most user-friendly. The language was defined automatically by the domain name and could be switched to another version of the site.

Thanks to this approach, we were able to create 6 language versions in 3.5 months. Alternatively, this work would take at least 7-8 months.
