The continued expansion of services and fleet size within Grimaldi led in 1998 to their inclusion of the Port of Cork with Euromed Service. Which gave the advantage at Ocean and General to enjoy of a motorway of the sea linking Ireland to UK, Scandinavia, North & South Europe and the Mediterranean directly and via hubs.

All types of cargo are catered for including: Ro-Ro, Containers (Refrigerated & special equipment also) and General cargo. The launch of this service coincided with the opening of our offices in Cork in January 1998 and inspired the establishment of a logistics company partnership between Grimaldi and Ocean & General: Euromed Ireland Logistics Ltd.

Operating from an 80,000 square metres terminal in Cork, Euromed offers storage and nationwide distribution services to the new car market together with PDI & repair facilities and a fleet of dedicated car-transporters. Ocean & General is a wholly owned Irish Shipping Company that also provides customs consultancy, general forwarding & warehousing services to clients in Ireland.

Also offering services from Dublin Port with direct vessels for West Africa or feeders calling to Grimaldi hub in Antwerp port.
