Patagonian started out in 2013 as the garage tech project of two engineers that did not want to leave their hometown in Patagonia, and have since evolved into a multinational tech company with development centers in Argentina, Colombia and offices in the USA.

The region, with an untapped talent pool, top universities and a thriving economic ecosystem, is an ideal emplacement to develop the arcadian tech community we envision, with the perfect work life balance.

Interamerican Development Bank

IDB is the largest financial institution in Latin America. It funds economic and social development projects led by private and public entities, helping countries eradicate poverty and providing opportunities for lower-income families through education and healthcare.

The challenge

IDB funds large-scale energy infrastructure projects in vast territory extensions across South America. Many of these projects are located in regions with limited road access, and monitoring project performance and construction progress is a big challenge.

Objective

IDB wanted to have a project dashboard that would integrate different information types, such as expense reports, construction reports, and imaging. The innovative approach was to incorporate drones to overfly zones and capture pictures and thermal imaging to be included in the platform in order to visualize project progress.

Patagonian and IDB designed and built the solution from scratch. We led a discovery process, where we involved IDB and countries' government representatives, contractors, and other organizations with the idea of including every point of view and defining an excellent user experience.

TVision Insights is an MIT-born firm that delivers real-time performance metrics for marketing effectiveness and efficiency. TVision uses cutting-edge technology to measure how people really watch TV, answering questions such as: Who's actually in the room, are they actually watching, and what are their reactions to an ad?

The challenge

TVision's value generation relies on real-time data processing and reliable solutions to manage those transactions seamlessly between different platforms. In this case, a critical provider change demanded a lot of processes to be adapted and streamlined to ensure business continuity.

Objective

This engagement's objective was to improve and adapt an array of data processing jobs to include a new advertisement data provider, while setting the baseline for a more scalable and flexible system. The project had a very tight deadline that required great flexibility on the project team side.

Solution

We were able to provide a high-quality deliverable with a critical deadline. TVision achieved service continuity and now has a robust data integration process that enhances their business and decision-making processes.

Mbody360 is an integrated platform for lifestyle plans, coaching & communications between patients and practitioners.

The challenge

Mbody360 selected Patagonian as their tech partner to build their health & wellness platform from scratch. We were involved in the product design process and all the technical definitions from the company’s inception to date. Moreover, Patagonian oversees the development and implementation of the ever-growing number of white labels.

Objective

We rapidly delivered an MVP that allowed the client to engage its customers and help customize and tweak the application. This lead to an exponential growth of brand awareness and white-label production.

The web platform was built from the ground up using the GRAILS framework, ensuring stability, reusability and cost efficiency. The mobile apps are developed using native languages to ensure optimum SO compatibility and to deliver that look and feel only native apps can. The whole project was conceptualized, designed and executed in record time allowing the client to showcase an MVP to its customers early on.

Conversifi is an online language-learning platform that connects native speakers with learners for 15-minute, fully-immersive conversations. The app pairs a learner and a coach, and no training is required -- guidance is provided.

The challenge

Conversifi selected us as their tech partner to build the online learning solution from scratch. We were involved in the product design process and all the technical definitions and implementations needed from the company's inception to date. The business model required a highly available, scalable, and stable solution.

Objective

Patagonian designed a language learning platform featuring: Video-call sessions, chats, matching engines, payment integrations, and other features that required complex business logic and scalable infrastructure to support high-demand periods.

The challenge

Petromark commended Patagonian the task of leading their digital transformation process. The platform was built from the ground up focusing on their main business needs. The standardization of their data gathering process, automated report generation, resource and task management, and more.
