Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Redberry started in 2014 and has grown to be Georgia’s leading software house and creative digital agency. With a team that’s grown from 4 to 200+ professionals, we’re proud of our accomplishments, becoming official partners with Laravel, Vue, Meta, and Google and accumulating 150+ international awards for our work. In 2020, we went international and currently work with clients based in the US and 10+ Western European countries. As the CEO of Redberry, my role involves setting the strategic direction, nurturing our company culture, and ensuring that we continue to deliver unparalleled value to our clients.
What is the story behind starting this company?
Redberry began as a vision shared by four friends who believed the Georgian digital landscape had enormous potential. We aimed to be pioneers in bringing digital life to Georgia’s brick-and-mortar businesses and setting industry standards. Our dedication has been acknowledged, winning the Agency of the Year award twice in the past four years and becoming the biggest, leading Georgian digital agency.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
Our primary strength lies in our in-house team. All our core technology work is done by full-time Redberry employees based in Georgia. While we occasionally collaborate with freelancers for specialized tasks, our main technologies never rely on third-party outsourcing.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
Most importantly, our focus on specific technologies like Laravel and Vue, backed by official partnerships, sets us apart. This specialization attracts the best local talent and ensures our clients get top-shelf expertise. Pairing this expertise with lower rates enabled by the minimal local taxes gives us the upper hand as a premium service provider with an economy price tag. Finally, we are what we call a “Swiss army knife agency” and offer services ranging from strategic product design to software development and creative growth marketing services. So we have the experience and expertise to help our clients move along the entire product development lifecycle from its ideation to its growth.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We’ve partnered with leading companies across numerous sectors in Georgia, including banking, insurance, telecom, retail, and healthcare. Internationally, we work with startups, SMBs, and enterprises from various industries. That is to say, we are quite industry agnostic. We also have partner agencies in Western Europe who augment their teams with our staff. A significant portion of our clients engage us for multiple projects, and I’d say the majority of our clientele has been repetitive, long-term collaborations, which speaks volumes about the trust they place in us. That is largely due to the fact that once we start our collaboration with a client, we view it as a partnership in which we are fully focused on growing their business, be it through improving their product design, offering relevant tech solutions, or growth marketing efforts.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
100% of our software design and development team works with international clients, so our product design and software development services, especially on Laravel and Vue, are the most sought-after globally. Locally, we remain a leading agency for providing creative growth marketing services as well.
What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
We pride ourselves on a customer satisfaction rate above 90%. This achievement is not by chance, but the result of our commitment to a partnership approach with each client, emphasizing open communication, regular feedback loops, and a deep understanding of their unique needs.

Central to our delivery process is working in an iterative manner. In each sprint, we ensure a production-ready product is available for the client with new features. This means our clients are not just periodically updated, but they’re actively involved in the project’s progression, accepting new releases at the end of each sprint. This constant loop ensures that what we create truly aligns with our client’s vision and needs. More importantly, this lets us enable our clients to ship new features regularly to their users and get feedback as early as possible.

Beyond this, we always look at every brief through a business lens and provide tech suggestions that drive tangible results. If it means going the extra mile to deliver excellence, we’re all in.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
We believe in working as one team with the client. Our software delivery operations are aligned in a way that ensures total transparency and active daily communication between the client and the project team. Therefore, our clients have direct channels of communication with the whole project team and have a suite of toolsets that enable them to get progress updates in real-time.

A dedicated delivery manager, PM, and tech lead are part of each project team at Redberry. Plus, there is an account manager engaged with each client. What’s more, our C-suite is quite hands-on, so whenever needed, our clients can contact me or anyone else on the management team. We ensure timely responses and resolutions, understanding that, ultimately, our client’s success is our success. Again, we view our collaboration as a partnership so both the client and the entire team are equally involved in each project.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Our payment structures are flexible to accommodate diverse client needs. While we offer a Fixed Cost engagement model for smaller projects, our most common model is a time and material model both for internally managed projects and out-staffed projects.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Each project is unique, and while we have standard benchmarks, we evaluate opportunities based on potential impact and alignment with our expertise. Historically, our minimum budgets have been flexible, particularly when the project promises long-term collaboration or is exceptionally innovative.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2022?
In 2022, our projects ranged from $20,000 for smaller endeavors up to $500,000 for more extensive, long-term collaborations.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
Our vision for Redberry in the next decade is to solidify our position as a global digital agency leader. We’ve established a significant market position in Georgia, aiding dozens of startups, SMBs, and large enterprises in their digital transformation, and we’re eager to achieve the same level of awareness and impact in other markets globally.
Furthermore, we plan to expand our team, deepen our expertise as our core technologies evolve, and foster partnerships that transcend borders while continuing to uphold the quality that Redberry is known for.

Review Summary

I wholeheartedly endorse Redberry for their exceptional work on our credit card recommendation project. They not only built a sophisticated ranking algorithm but also a user-centric web platform, which included features like credit monitoring, the ability to meet virtually with credit coaches (via Google Calendar and Google Meet integration), and the tracking of credit card sign-up bonuses.

Throughout our collaboration, their clear communication and problem-solving approach made them a reliable and valuable partner. For those seeking a software development firm that combines technical excellence with effective project management, Redberry is a standout choice.

Review Summary

As a small web development company, scaling our services to meet growing client demands presented challenges. When tasked with developing new features for bilpleiekongen.no, we sought additional developers. Redberry came through by providing a seasoned senior developer who seamlessly extended our team. Their expertise in Laravel and rapid adaptation to our deployment pipeline made the collaboration a smooth and successful experience.

Describe your project in brief

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

What I liked the most about Redberry was their ability to provide us with a highly skilled senior developer who seamlessly integrated with our team. Their expertise in Laravel and quick adaptation to our deployment pipeline made the collaboration efficient and effective. It was a significant advantage in meeting our project's demands and delivering quality results.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

One area where I felt there was room for improvement with Redberry was the communication process when tasks became overly complex. There were instances when the senior developer spent considerable time on a task without reaching out for clarifications, which sometimes led to delays. However, once we discussed the importance of open communication, the situation improved, and subsequent tasks were handled more efficiently.

Redberry created an iOS and Android app for us, both of which are available in app stores. The team utilized React Native for the development of the apps. The agile team consisted of four developers — two for the frontend and two for the backend — along with a full-time DevOps engineer, QA tester, product designer, and UX designer.
