What Users Like The Most

  • This was the first time I’d worked with a software company in developing something from scratch, so I don’t have a direct comparison. They were good to work with and were responsive. They were open to feedback and flexible in accommodating requests that we identified after the requirements had already been written. They understood that the end goal was to have something that met our needs.
  • They’re very smart in the tools they use and they’re very responsive in addressing our requests in a timely manner. One of the challenges of working with us is that things change often, and they’re very good at reacting to those changes and implementing them in a way that's effective for our business.
  • They may not have a fully developed understanding of what my product is intended to do, but their development expertise is so extensive that they can still deliver exactly what I want. Additionally, they draw from their experience and offer valuable input. They aptly balance their judgment with my requirements, so I don’t have to stand over their shoulder while they work.

What Users Like The Least

  • Nothing much.
  • We’d like it if they could have an office in our office.
  • It’s a bit early to comment on any areas for improvement. I’ve been very happy with the experience.

There’s a benefit to having multiple teams working on the same project around the world.

Hitting all major milestones, SharpQuest Inc. took a slow existing POC, and transformed it into an effective tool with sub-second performance times.

What was the project name that you have worked with SharpQuest, Inc.?

Dev for Software Company

What service was provided as part of the project?

Software Development

Describe your project in brief

A long-term collaborator, SharpQuest, Inc. built a customer-facing website that would allow better access to data, using .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, and other technologies to reach the end goal.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

I’ve worked with other groups with overseas divisions. I like working with SharpQuest, Inc., because there is a labor force overseas, but also in the States. It helps to have a team in your timezone, and there’s a benefit to having multiple teams working on the same project around the world.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

I can’t think of anything I would recommend.

They're collaborative and do everything possible to support our project.

More than anything, SharpQuest, Inc. has been a true partner, involved in both the brainstorming and implementation phases of the project. Their team is knowledgeable and talented, and while they have less experience with the client's specific GUI layouts, they've successfully completed all tasks.

What was the project name that you have worked with SharpQuest, Inc.?

Frontend Dev for Healthcare IT Solutions Provider

What service was provided as part of the project?

Software Development

Describe your project in brief

A healthcare IT solutions company outsourced some of the dev work for their website to SharpQuest, Inc. Their in-house team has primarily worked on the backend, while SharpQuest, Inc. was responsible for the graphical user interface [GUI].

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

SharpQuest, Inc. has a high-touch service. They're collaborative and do everything possible to support our project, both on the brainstorming side of things and the implementation one. I've worked with 600-people companies which had a different feel. SharpQuest, Inc. is a bit easier to work with since they have more focus and investment in our project.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

The time zone difference is a reality of offshoring, but it's also an advantage since the work is getting done while we're sleeping. SharpQuest Inc. struggles a bit with GUI layouts; we've had to be very specific about how we wanted things to look since their interface style is a bit different to ours. We've never asked a partner company to act as the designer for our GUI, though.

They provided good guidance and good expertise on the exact things I needed.

While the application is still in the testing phase, SharpQuest, Inc.'s expertise shows in the quality of the work. It's also impressive that they could meet deadlines given the aggressive timeline while remaining transparent and honest throughout the engagement.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

SharpQuest, Inc. was the first team I’ve used as a subcontractor. The experience was very positive. SharpQuest, Inc. was very professional and did what I needed them to do.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

The first resource was not available to me all the time, so SharpQuest, Inc. added a second developer to cover it sometimes, and he wasn’t as good as the first one. I did know ahead of time that I wouldn’t always be able to use the same developer.

The Challenge

TKS Industrial, a world leader in automotive paint finishing systems, was using a legacy application to manage their supplier bid and purchasing process. They were looking to modernize the app and overhaul the process to be more efficient.

Our Work

We automated the entire process with an external facing supplier portal, an internal purchasing portal, and the back-end processes to set rule automation. We create a web based portal for its suppliers to manage RFQ (Request for Quote), PO (Purchase Order), CO (Change Orders), RFQ Bidding Process and Project Documents. We utilized Agile methodology for the full cycle development of the various modules in the system, providing value throughout the project. Technology utilized included: ASP.Net MVC, Web API, Telerik Kendo UI, Telerik Reporting, MS SQL, and Amazon AWS.

Key features of the work and resulting app:

The Challenge

Graham Healthcare Group, a Midwest leader in providing home and hospice care, was looking for ways to improve patient care and felt that a mobile app would help their patients to have better access to their care plans and allow family members to be involved in the care being provided.

Our Work

We developed a mobile app, called My Care Central, for both Android and iOS. The app gives patients and their families access to their care plans including visits, medications, educational materials and supplies. It also allows them to communicate with their caregivers using secure messaging. Video visit capabilities were added to allow for care during the pandemic and were built for HIPAA compliance. The app also allows for simple patient feedback collection, which allows the company to continue to improve their processes and the care provided. Technology utilized included: Xamarin for cross platform mobile app, Angular, TypeScript, .Net Core, Salesforce, and Microsoft Azure.

Key features of the work and resulting app:

  • Users can see upcoming clinician visits

  • Users can chat securely with the care team by sending messages and pictures

  • Users can have video visits with clinicians

  • Users can provide feedback (rating 1-5) for the visit

  • Users can view care notes made by clinicians

  • Users can review medications with dose and frequency information

  • Users can order new supplies and track shipments

  • Users can watch educational videos about the treatment or read recommended material

  • App is HIPAA compliant with secure messaging and video visits

  • App has EMR integrations to ensure all data is tracked

  • System sends automated visit reminder text messages to patients

  • System sends text message to patients after a visit is complete asking for feedback for their experience and accepts the response as text message

  • Backend system has an Administrator dashboard to review all feedback at branch level and corporate level so that corrective actions can be taken for low ratings
