Frustrating and disappointing.

My experience with The Free Website Guys has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I started this project over two months ago with high hopes, but my faith is now gone.

Despite investing my time and money in hosting and a premium theme, there was no evidence a website was being built. My emails went unanswered for over a week, even when marked urgent, forcing me to troubleshoot on my own.

When I wrote an honest public review, my contact saw it as an "attack" and unilaterally terminated my project. This demonstrates a complete lack of accountability. They chose to abandon the project rather than take responsibility for two months of delays and poor communication.

I strongly advise others to be aware of this before engaging with them. So far, my experience has been one of unfulfilled promises and a serious lack of integrity.

If The Free Website Guys are taking on more clients than they can handle, they should pause new advertisements and take care of the customers they have. This review is my honest truth, not an attack. It's a call for accountability and a plea for genuine results.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

I had great faith in The Free Website Guys from the very beginning. I was so excited about this venture that I looked forward to creating a high-impact, positive video review to surprise them with my appreciation for their work, even before seeing any evidence of a completed website. That's how much I believed in their mission and their promises.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

The thing I liked least was the disingenuous communication and lack of accountability. The project was met with vague promises, over a week-long email delays, and unfulfilled commitments, culminating in a public review that was seen as an "attack" rather than a legitimate complaint. The project's unilateral termination after a two-month delay was unprofessional and lacked integrity.

Dear Tondré, We decided to stop working with you on your website, https://tondreole.com/, when you publicly attacked our lead developer by name — and then continued to do so despite our several requests not to. That is unacceptable and we don't work with people who act abusively towards our staff, even if they're frustrated. Abuse is a non-negotiable for us, and we decided to discontinue working with you. On the other points, I regret that you found working us so frustrating. We screwed up at several points in this process in terms of our communication with you which caused things to go way slower than hoped on your website. I'm really sorry about that. Great for us in Uganda as we looked for a way to support a new company

Fast and reliable service from start to finish, highly recommend

The free website guys were extremely easy to work with. Each step of the process was incredibly clear and detailed, so I knew exactly what to do and when. Whenever I sent over the website specifications I wanted, they delivered exactly what I asked for and with a quick turnaround time. All in all they probably saved me 40-80 hours of research and work, and at no cost! Great communication and detail from start to finish Highly recommended
