I fell in love with hospitality early on in my career – and I fell hard. I was 18, freshly away from my family for the first time, working in the mountains and it all felt overwhelming. After the long hours, each night I would trek back to my staff room and bond with my housemates. We would cook together, talk about our days and crack open a bottle of wine (obviously a better bottle than we should have been able to afford… but priorities).
