Transport Continental, Inc. (TCI), was founded in 1980 by Jim Cowart and his son Jim Cowart, Jr.  He assumed the leadership role in 1985 and has built a highly successful asset-based full-service freight transportation company (TCI). The business group offers International and Domestic transportation services within Mexico, the United States, and Canada. TCI specializes in Dry Van, Refrigerated, Flatbed, Step Deck, and over-dimensional freight movement.  There are physical locations in Pharr, TX, Laredo, TX, and Dallas, TX that provide a variety of storage, cross-dock, trans-loading, and maintenance services.  Differentiation driven by quality processes segregates its business group from most transportation providers.  A Six Sigma DMAIC quality culture is driven by Senior Leadership throughout the organization, providing analytics and controls second to none.  Customer Service is a Core Value, supported by a team of highly qualified and trained drivers controlling one of the newest fleets on the road.  The concentration of these strengths provides TCI with the ability to sustain long-term partnerships with a large number of midsize and Fortune 500 companies.
