Video chat on Janus Mobile SDK + Janus Media Server

We have built the web & mobile video chat application based on the Janus media server.

Video streaming features include: 

• Video chat

• Text chat

• File sharing

• Screen sharing

• Video/audio management

Why Janus? 

In comparison to other great media server providers, Janus, as an open-source solution, doesn't charge the users per usage. The costs only consist of server maintenance fees.

A little from tech perspective: 

• The mobile SDK consists of 2 parts

  • Video rendering, data management

  • Janus API support

• The iOS app connection is established with the h264 codec

• The Android connection may vary between h264 and vp8 codecs (being transcoded real-time)

Webprax - a telemedicine platform for psychotherapy .

The goal of the project is to create a service providing a video chat between doctor and

patient.

The project also contains the following functionality: 

● the ability to communicate via text chat,

● the ability to present the materials from the doctor,

● the ability to transfer the documents for the patient,

● the ability to create text notes and save them

The video chat is built on top of Trembit’s WebRTC platform “Stusan”, which helps establish the P2P connection with no server in-between.

The Webprax have successfully passed the German data security regulations for health industry - “KBV”

iRecord - is an interrogation monitoring system deployed to some US police departments. 

It allows officers and child advocacies to monitor interrogations in a real time in HD quality. But it’s not only monitoring, it’s a conference as well, so law enforcement officers can discuss ongoing interrogation in real time. 

This system operates in 2 ways. 

First - It works in the local environment (office) only, and no one from outside can join. 

Second - is a cloud version, which allows authorized users to join live interrogation from anywhere in the world.

Also, all recordings are encrypted and stored either on local servers or on the government cloud servers.

System is controlled by the admin panel, which allows administrator to create interrogation rooms, connect specific IP cameras and give access permissions to specific users

Bullpit TSP (Trading streaming platform) - the twitch-like platform, focused on the stock market only.

The platform allows stock investors/streamers to share their experience and ideas regarding the investments and have the ability to stream real-time stock market activity.

Idea origin - catch a wave of popularity of the stock market.

In order to differentiate Bullpit from Twitch, the platform’s marketing strategy is focused only on the stock market and similar niches. 

Bullpit strategy is to build a strong investor community, combined with the r/wallstreetbets and other public sources of such information.

The platform aims to own the specific features, which help achieve the strategy in a long run: 

• Groups - the streamer’s community of subscribers is automatically transformed into the “Group” - they have access to more obscure information about the streamer’s investments, they have the in-platform chat for sharing their own experience.

• Trading transparency  - the subscribers are allowed to check out the streamer’s progress and take measures depending on their results.

• Community - divide the investor niche from all the others creates the “elite” mindset, making the users feel special by not using the well-known Twitch.

• The ability to stream the real-time stock data on streamers’ dashboards
