Kindly share your feedback on how Goodfirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.
I believe Goodfirms has performed fairly well. We at TRIARE consider it to be among the leading platforms that feature global software development talent.
Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the organization.
We make web and mobile apps that make millions. Our customers choose whether that’s revenue or the number of users. TRIARE works with three main types of customers: digital agencies, established businesses, and startups. Let me decipher the “startup” in our context: for us, it’s an idea that can be implemented with mobile or web tech. In the beginning, we didn't look specifically for startups, but it happened naturally. We really like proactive and open-minded founders. Their determination and ambition inspire. It is the reason we made a partnership with the Founder Institute.
What is the story behind starting this company?
My partner Anton Malyy who is the TRIARE CTO and I have known each other since childhood. Anton has always been good at tech: he assembled his own computers and even ran a small Internet provider company. I started as a sales manager at a computer equipment shop. Later, I joined a few IT companies gaining experience as a project manager.
Eventually, I transitioned to a product manager role. When I needed to hire developers, I found the local talent and so we collaborated. At some point, I realized that we could run own venture. This is how we started TRIARE.
What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We offer two approaches: outstaffing and a dedicated model. That said, when a startup approaches us, we are ready to provide a full-cycle service: from Proof-of-Concept (POC) to prototype to Minimal Viable Product (MVP). We even have a 12-weeks program for this.
When an enterprise approaches us with a new solution to develop, we suggest having a discovery phase. This business analysis phase lets screen opportunities and challenges for the particular idea, and potentially saves time and money. If a customer is undecided, we offer a free consultation.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
We at TRIARE have three values: responsibility, reliability, and relationships. We strive to build long-term relationships with our clients and competitors because we perceive everyone as potential partners. We believe that synergy creates a miracle.
If you ask regarding our services, let’s come back to our first two values.
Responsibility is not just a word but a proven practice. Some of our clients stick with us since the launch of our company, six years now. They delegate new projects to us and refer other clients because they can rely on us.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
After trying a range of industries, we decided to focus on transportation, education, and entertainment. We have deep expertise in these industries and enjoy helping new customers from these fields.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Apart from what I’ve already mentioned, TRIARE provides custom software development, software testing, and graphic design. But most of our clients come for web platforms and mobile applications. By the way, e-commerce is another service that we can help you with.
As of the time of answering this interview, we have 13 reviews on Clutch with an average score of 4.8. Our company NPS (net promoter score) is 9. Unsurprisingly, word of mouth is still our largest marketing channel. Our customers value the speed and quality of TRIARE delivery.
We are able to achieve this by deploying a clear structure within our organization and designing reliable frameworks for daily tasks. But do you know what really distinguishes us? People. Team members are true experts in what they do. Sometimes they share their own knowledge with the public.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
When we first encountered one of our clients, they had an old legacy system. TRIARE assisted them well and continues to support them six years later.
Technically speaking, we offer DevOps and infrastructure support. We can manage your hosting, add SSL certificates, transfer your site to a new platform or make a daily backup of your projects. Besides, we regularly update plugins and offer performance audits, including manual and performance tests.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
We make an estimation and offer a fixed cost price per project. The customer can pay in phases. In the case of outstaffing, there is an hourly rate.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
We are loyal to startups. We have even invested in one. What we are looking for, however, are projects with ideas that already work. So talk to us and we’ll help you transform your idea into a technical solution (and raise money for it).
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2020?
It depends on the service but usually, we deliver a $200 consultation for free and offer startups a 12-week MVP program starting at $10,000. When a client opts in for the Discovery Phase, that’s an affordable $4500. A mobile app costs on average $30,000 whereas a website varies from $15,000 (for a WordPress site) to $90,000 (an e-commerce platform). The reader should keep in mind that our software development services are paired with bespoke design and all the necessary UX.
Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?
We are building a truly sustainable organization. We aim to generate value for our global customers as well as serve the community where we live. We are working hard and smart towards achieving profit growth which 10 times what we have today. Meanwhile, we continue to improve employee satisfaction and implement spin projects. I strongly believe that in 10 years we will be in the top 1% of software development firms that deliver and a go-to company for digital transformation.
