Edgefinity® IoT is CYBRA’s newest RFID platform software. It’s the most advanced software application we’ve ever built in our 36 years of operation. With Edgefinity IoT, organizations can monitor and track their assets, equipment, and personnel. It’s an invaluable tool for distributors, fulfillment teams, and utilities in need of real-time asset tracking and personnel safety solutions.

As CEO of CYBRA, it has been my responsibility to initiate the early stages of product planning and development. CYBRA has been in the auto-ID industry for many years. We have deep experience with a diversity of barcoding applications as well as a range of RFID solutions. The challenge was to develop a product that met today’s passive RFID, active RFID, and RTLS application needs while anticipating future sensing technologies.  I, along with CYBRA’s industry experts, created a blueprint for what a next-generation auto-ID product should be.

CYBRA’s first foray into the auto-ID software market was our bar code label design and a print product named  MarkMagic.  MarkMagic® is depended upon by thousands of customers worldwide. Over time, we noticed the gradual but consistent parallel adoption of RFID technology. Many retailers now require RFID tags to be added to products handled by manufacturers and distributors. And, with the explosive growth of online shopping, shippers and manufacturers rely on RFID technology in order to ensure more accurate control of inventory, as well as tracking location and status. CYBRA has stayed ahead of the curve by observing the market, hearing what our customers need, and investing early in RFID development. CYBRA’s Edgefinity IoT helps these brands and distributors get the most out of their RFID investment while providing the vital tracking tools they need to stay relevant in an increasingly complex and competitive supply chain.

Unlike other RFID software products, Edgefinity IoT is very versatile. It works seamlessly with all tracking technologies and can be mixed and matched in a` customer’s facility to meet the requirements of all their different assets.  We do not only support Passive RFID and Ultra-wideband but also Bluetooth Low Energy, Infrared, Active RFID, barcodes, QR codes and various other technologies.  In addition, Edgefinity IoT requires very little effort to configure and integrate with virtually any existing ERP and WMS applications.  An intuitive UI/UX allows users to establish workflows and sophisticated rules to conform to the customer’s application needs.

While Edgefinity IoT can be applied anywhere asset tracking and personnel monitoring are required, we are largely focused on the manufacturing front. We can help manufacturers, distributors, or any organization on the warehousing end of things. We also have solutions for utilities such as water treatment plants, powerplants, or any large-scale locations that need to keep track of the safety and status of workers.

At the heart of Edgefinity IoT is a robust rules engine enabling you to create very complex rules with a simple-to-use interface.  Edgefinity IoT is one software package that can help practically all departments, from keeping time/attendance for HR, monitoring visitors/contractors and enforcing escort rules for security, making sure employees are using the correct safety equipment for EHS, performing real-time asset inventory cycle counts for Finance and validation of inbound/outbound shipments to assist logistics to only name a few.  Lastly, Edgefinity IoT is true IoT software allowing you to connect any IP addressable device directly into the system.

For initial queries, we offer live chats, consultations, and demos. Once a project is agreed upon, our team typically performs a site survey, followed by a pilot project. Our team installs and tests Edgefinity IoT at the customer’s facility. And we don’t leave until we are 100% up and running. It is very little our customers need to do. Whether it’s in-person or over the phone, we take our customer support seriously.

It was a record year for CYBRA’s RFID installations. Despite the many challenges brought about by the worldwide pandemic, we saw substantial growth in interest in a tracking software. Organizations need to improve their inventory visibility as supply chains speed up. This will only continue as eCommerce grows.
