We GetPaydayLoan have been using Tableau for 1+ year now. Tableau specializes in creating beautiful visualizations, but most of its advertising is geared toward corporate environments with data engineers and larger budgets. Visualization of data analysis It all comes down to how you interpret your data. Data analysis displays data in dashboards and uses customized metrics relevant to our business to make smarter, faster, and fact-based decisions. Tableau reporting tools collect data from our organization and process it to enable better reporting and financial decision-making with a clear head and rational mind. Keeping our company in the black is critical when it comes to finances.

Review Summary

Both I and my company IG Marketing Inc. use Tableau for translating raw data into valuable insights that we can use. Based on experience, the main benefit of using Tableau is its ease of use. We don't like spending time learning how to use the software. Tableau's catchy visuals and drag-and-drop UI deserves five stars. Tableau is great for large companies. However, if a company has only a handful of team members, Tableau may not be worth it as an investment. One of Tableau's drawbacks is that it can be expensive.

Review Summary

I am a marketing professional and an established entrepreneur. I am a founder of a successful online informational portal called Vital Feedz. I would like to share my insights on my favorite BI tool which is Tableau.

Tableau: I love using tableau because it helps me bring all of my data together and I can visually track my business & revenue KPIs very easily. I run complex marketing campaigns across different digital channels.. With Tableau, I can see individual channel performance, track KPIs, do data imports in real-time and so much more. Tableau platform is very easy and intuitive to operate. It also has free training modules that are always helpful whenever I face any glitches. I would initially use Excel for my data reporting, and I found Excel not to be very scalable. As my business grew, I needed a more reliable data tracking solution. I am very happy using Tableau and I have seen my, and my team's efficiency increase by 23% since using Tableau.

Tableau has got everything that you need!

Review Summary

Today companies create, track and analyze business data at a scale like never before. But all this data doesn’t make sense if it cannot be used to improve business outcomes. Thus, business intelligence software helps companies to make informed choices and base their decisions on evidence.

We at VinPit have been using “Tableau” for data discovery, data visualization, geocoding, survey analysis, time-series analysis, social analytics, and much more.

Pros of Tableau:

-Unparalleled capabilities of visualizing information.

-User-friendly interface allows non-development users to make the utmost utilization of the app’s functionality.

-Robust and reliable performance, even performs fast on big data.

-Multiple data source connections, such as HADOOP, SAP, and DB Technologies.

-Mobile app available for IOS and Android

Cons of Tableau:

-License is quite costly for most small to medium companies

-It requires clients to purchase the extended license from the start.

-Many operations need the creation of SQL queries, which need the services of a skilled developer.

- Integration into a company’s product is a real challenge.

It helps people read and understand data.

Pros

We recommend this software because it helps people read and understand data.

Offering a revolutionary new approach to business intelligence, Tableau allows you to quickly connect, visualize, and share data with a seamless experience from the PC to the iPad.

Create and publish dashboards and share them with colleagues, partners, or customers without any need for programming skills.

This mobile friendly software is relatively easy to use.

The software offers a free 14-day trial and then it costs $70/month.

Cons

I still think that it costs more than it should.

Other cons of this software are that it has security issues combined with very poor after-sales support from the company.

Review Summary

The current clients of EBI Management Group include Department of Defense (DoD), Veterans Affairs (VA), and Department of Transportation (DoT). Some clients utilize high-end Business Intelligence Tools (like Cognos Analytics) and some still use MS Excel Spreadsheets. We have started introducing the Excel clients to Tableau, as a way to expand their Data Visualization capabilities. We introduced it last year on a VA project and are currently introducing it to one of our DoT client project teams. It has gone really well, so our overall rating has been a 5.

Pros include the affordable price point for getting started as a project team and the learning curve is also fairly quick compared to other tools we have used for client delivery.  Our team hasn’t encountered many Cons, but there is a longer learning curve for more advanced data visualizations. That is true with all the BI and Data Visualization tools, however.

Review Summary

As a Marketing Manager of Codal, I share that using Tableau is very seamless and easy to create a customized dashboard, which is important for me as and probably most marketers. For a SaaS platform, Tableau probably has some of the best data visualizations I have seen on a SaaS platform. On top of being very interactive and customizable, the user interface is really intuitive, so there really was not a large learning curve at all.

Another huge pro was that they have a very robust mobile application that also has an intuitive UI. Always being on-the-go, mobile friendliness is another crucial aspect of any type of software.

The only con that I saw and the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 out of 5 is because I was looking to use the professional edition, which can definitely become a little pricey if you connect all of your data sources and onboard a lot of users.
