Please introduce your product and give a brief about your role within the organization.
Text Request helps businesses better connect with their customers through text messaging solutions. Our platform lets you text as a team from your office number directly on your computer—or wherever you work—so you can actually get a response. I’m a co-founder and actively serve as our CEO.
What was the objective behind coming up with this software?
We’re all about creating connections between customers and businesses that leave everyone better off. Everybody texts, so giving businesses the power to meet their customers where they’re at is going to improve everything from their bottom line to overall customer satisfaction.
How is your software beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other software alternatives available in the market?
We’re definitely a “need” product, not just a “nice-to-have.” Customers aren’t answering phone calls or emails, but they do respond to texts—almost instantly. We give you the ability to manage those conversations professionally, as a team. There are three things that differentiate us from competitors: Scale, price, and support. We’re a month-to-month SaaS with no contracts, so it’s really easy for customers to leave if they aren’t seeing the value they want out of Text Request. Almost everyone stays. Our competitors don’t offer that flexibility. They also don’t work one-on-one with customers to develop SMS strategies as our Success team does. We’re not just training folks on how to send a text, we’re giving them ways to improve every aspect of their business.
What industries do you generally cater to? Which industries in general are highly benefiting by using your software?
We work with thousands of companies across more than 100 different industries, including nonprofit groups. The industries we work with most, though, tend to be home services like cleaning, home renovation, pest control, etc.; professional services like lawyers, accountants, insurance companies; health and wellness businesses, and franchises.
What are the key features of your software that makes it stand apart from your competitor products in the market?
Really, our support team is a key feature that makes us stand out. Most software companies, including our competitors, either charge you extra for support or barely get back to you. Our team is fast, helpful, and knowledgeable, which makes a big difference in the customer experience. Payment is a specific feature that stands out—as a business, you can collect payments entirely through text messaging, and that money gets deposited into your account in real time. We’ve got integrations with HubSpot, Quickbooks, Angi, and other major platforms, and lots of features that make messaging day-to-day a breeze, like signatures, PDF attachments, message templates, shared inboxes, auto-responses, contact notes, and more.
What is the customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?
If you look at our online reviews across websites—which come from all users, not just a select group—our average rating is about 4.6/5 stars. Our Google reviews are 5 stars across the board. It comes down to the level of care we provide. Anyone can sign up at textrequest.com without talking to us first, but if you do talk to us first, an account executive is walking you through the entire process. After purchase, every account gets a designated customer success rep who’s there for training, questions, and everything. And our support, as I mentioned earlier, is head and shoulders above competitors. We’re offering the kind of attention that we would want when selecting and using a software tool, and that approach has been paying off for years.
Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what is the percentage of repeat customers that you have?
Our product is a monthly subscription (no contracts) so our customers are paying us every month but are not necessarily "repeat" customers.
Does your software product provide any resource or knowledge section for its users? If yes, what kind of material is provided to your users to help them get acquainted with your product?
We have both a Resource Hub and Help Center that are regularly updated for customers. The Resource Hub has industry-specific text templates, playbooks, and business insights to give customers business texting strategies, while the Help Center has guides dedicated to each and every one of Text Request’s tools and features.
What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?
Each customer is assigned a Success rep when they purchase Text Request. That Success rep then gives their customer one-on-one training to learn the platform. We also have a Support team that helps customers with any technical roadblocks they may bump into along the way.
Where do you see your product in the next 10 years?
We’re fully committed to helping businesses better connect with their customers through messaging. That’s going to evolve over the next decade, and there are some big things we already have in the works, but we’re going to be focused on creating as impactful a tool as possible.
