ANODA is a Mobile Development agency. We deliver MVPs for startups and entrepreneurs working in such niches as FinTech, Healthcare, CRM, and E-learning. We can help with UX Research, Wireframes, and Design. Also, we provide Full Cycle Development solutions, including Front-end and Back-end Development.

I am the founder of the company and the CEO.

What is the story behind starting this company?

I have great experience working in big outsourcing companies. At that time, most of them suffered from the same project management problems. It was not clear who was responsible for certain tasks and stages of the project. Customers seemed to be left alone with their requests, while designers and developers were working on tasks without synchronization with the team. The process often lacked structure, estimation, and clear communication. Therefore, a large number of changes appeared, expectations did not coincide with the results, deadlines were missed, and solving issues with clients was too complicated.

Of course, we still created outstanding products, but I wanted to make the process more enjoyable, both for the customer and for employees. I analyzed my frustrating experience in the industry and realized that I had ideas that could make this world a little better. I started ANODA in 2013 offering another way to develop software.

We created a clear and understandable flow from project onboarding to final delivery. Clients control works on the project, they always know what is happening with it at each stage, what changes are implemented, etc. We are proud of the project management structure we have created.

What are your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We have an in-house team of talented specialists from all over the world. On average, our employees stay with us for 3+ years. At ANODA, we have built a strong remote culture and excellent work environment.

How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?

Our main difference is coaching and a full cycle of client consultations. Even if the client needs help only with design, we advise him on the choice of a monetization model, ways to promote his product, development solutions, etc. We have years of experience working with products from various niches, so our expertise allows us to offer a comprehensive approach to the client. ANODA does not just deliver a bunch of tasks for the client, we help the product become successful.

Our task is to develop a high-quality MVP with the lowest possible cost. We are frugal with our client's budget, because most often at the product launch stage, very expensive solutions are not needed for its test on the market. We offer the perfect mix of quality and price.

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?

We concentrated on FinTech and Healthcare, but our portfolio includes a lot of works from other categories. So just contact us, and we will discuss each request individually.

Most clients hire us primarily to do an MVP, but they stay with us for years. The average duration of cooperation with the client who hired us for a full-cycle development is two to two and a half years. 90% of our contracts become long-term cooperation. On average, a client who hires us to do a design then makes 17 additional purchases. In my opinion, this demonstrates a high level of trust, the quality of our work, and our ability to provide good communication between teams.

And we are often hired on the recommendations from other clients, which is one more reason to trust us.

Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?

More than 50% of clients come to us only with an idea or draft wireframes. So most often we create apps and web products from scratch.

Before signing the contract, we study the project and the client's wishes in detail in order to offer the best solutions. We have to be sure that we can add value to this product. Then we provide general consultations on the project and introduce the team to it. We develop a clear road map of work on the project with the cost of each milestone and coordinate it with the client.

Some clients hire us for the full development cycle. In this case, we start with the design and management of client expectations.

A very popular service we offer is UX research for products that have been on the market for a long time. We conduct interviews with users, collect feedback, and analyze information. After that many clients hire us to redesign. They want to make their product more modern, clean, and user-friendly.

What is your customer satisfaction rate according to you? What steps do you take to cater to your customer’s needs and requirements?

Our customer satisfaction rate is close to 90%. We pay maximum attention to better understanding the needs of our clients and learn all the details about the future product before signing contracts. We always start with a detailed creative brief and intro call. Then we discuss it again at the meeting. We believe that the better we prepare for the start of the project, the better workflow we can expect. We talk about all the details and nuances in advance. And we are very flexible and Agile.

Also, of course, our years of experience in developing mobile applications, SaaS platforms, and designs for various products help us a lot. Therefore, we immediately know what to offer the client and how to achieve his business goals as quickly as possible.

What kind of support system do you offer to your clients for catering to their queries and issues?

Our cooperation with the client begins with providing him with the following documents:

The customer playbook is a guide for the customer, where he can find information about responsible ANODA's team members and their contacts.
The document for project management. This is a document where we collect all edits from the client, recordings of our calls, and client feedback. When the team implements something, it must be noted in the document.
The list of releases is a timeline of each release and links to deliverables.
The internal scope is a project proposal with milestones and estimations.

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)

Pay per Milestone. Our Milestone is a mini release with a duration of up to two weeks (like a sprint). This applies both to design and development. We take a 100% upfront payment for each milestone.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

We take projects for design starting from $1000 and for development starting from $10,000.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?

The average cost of small design projects is $5000 to $7000. Large projects, such as banks with a lot of features on several platforms, usually cost about $20 000.

If we talk about development, here the cost starts from $35 000 for MVP. The total cost of large projects with a full-cycle development and design, for example, products in the banking category, is usually in the range of $200 000 to $250 000.

Everything is very individual.

Where do you see your company in the next 10 years?

Nowadays, it is quite difficult to look so far into the future, because every year there are many challenges that need to be responded to. But we want to open a marketing department soon to also offer digital marketing services to our clients. Also, we are now actively helping clients with UX copywriting.

We have always strived to provide our clients with a comprehensive approach. So we want to cover all the client's needs for the successful development of his startup.

We are also hungry for awards, so we aim to become the best design agency in the USA, become a part of the list of the best mobile app developers in the market, and become a part of the top mobile development companies on Goodfirms by 2025, of course.
