CYBORIUM is an independent technology procurement and strategic sourcing business based in Sydney. It helps Australian organisations choose and contract technology providers: cybersecurity services such as managed SOC and penetration testing, AI platforms, cloud, software and managed IT.

How an engagement runs. CYBORIUM uses a five-phase method: Discover, Scan, Evaluate, Secure, Govern. Requirements and a weighted scorecard are agreed with your team, using MoSCoW prioritisation, before any provider is contacted. CYBORIUM then approaches a wider market than your usual vendors, tests each provider's claims against evidence such as references, certifications and contract terms, and normalises pricing so proposals built on different units can be compared line by line. It supports negotiation and, after signature, can provide vendor relationship management and delivery oversight.

Regulated buyers. For APRA-regulated entities, CYBORIUM builds the due diligence CPS 230 expects for material service providers and checks information security obligations under CPS 234. It also covers SOCI Act supply chain obligations and Essential Eight uplift purchases.

How CYBORIUM is paid. CYBORIUM does not build, sell, resell, deliver or operate technology and takes no resale margin. The client pays nothing and contracts directly with the provider it chooses. Only that provider pays CYBORIUM a capped fee; shortlisted providers that are not selected pay nothing. The rate is negotiated with each provider and disclosed on request.
