Design Squads

Design Squads embeds senior design teams with US banks and digital product teams. Our designers work US hours in US time zones, and they are our employees, not contractors. You keep your Head of Digital and your directors, and you add flexible design capacity without adding headcount, at up to 30% less than equivalent US hires.

We start with a squad of two or three people on live work in about two weeks, then scale. Squads are sized to each team's scope with a defined start date. They cover UX/UI for web and mobile apps, prototyping and user flows, design systems and component libraries, user research, and data visualization, with accessibility and regulated-content skills embedded from day one.

A three-year digital banking and web redesign for Bank of the West (now BMO) is among our case studies. Design Squads is the embedded design-team model built by Hibrids, operating since 2013 with studios in San Francisco, Spain, Mexico, and Colombia.
