Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
My name is Brandon Camacho, I’m the CEO and founder of Kingz Marketing. We are a digital marketing agency founded in 2017, we specialize in helping small businesses grow their online presence by using social media marketing, SEO, content marketing, and others. Nowadays, digital marketing is fundamental for every single business, I’m a digital marketer myself, something that I’m really passionate about, and I’m in charge of the branding for both my agency and my clients. Even though I have a small team working with me, I like to be directly involved in all of our projects and to be in constant contact with our clients. I believe that’s the best way to keep the quality and the trust of our clients. I like to add that personal touch to our services, because as we say in Kingz Marketing: the more our clients grow, the more we grow.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the Digital Marketing Strategy for a client.
It totally depends on what the client is looking for, although I believe that it all leads to an increase in revenue and most importantly, the company’s credibility and their customers’ fidelity. There are different objectives or parameters we could use to determine the strategy for example if the objective is to raise our client’s brand awareness, we would leverage social media and create content for that matter. If the goal is to acquire customer leads, we would create an irresistible offer and use social media and Google to advertise. Depending on what the goal is, we decide which strategy to implement. I believe that adapting is very important and we offer custom design services to our clients.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
One thing that makes us different from the competition is that we actually care about the SMEs. Most of the digital marketing agencies try to work with bigger companies because they have bigger budgets and resources, but they “ignore“ the smaller companies. We believe that every business, big or small, has the potential to grow and scale. That’s why we decided to fix a price range which accommodates SMEs better. As I mentioned before, we also like to add the personal touch to our services which makes our clients feel like they are part of the family, we like to think that their business is our business, that way we invest ourselves 100% in the projects and we make sure we always go the extra mile.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We first started by helping restaurant owners. It’s a niche that I’m comfortable with and know the most about. Later, we decided to expand and add more industries to our portfolio, therefore we started helping different businesses in different sectors including automotive, daycares, and massage & spas. We want to help our clients scale their business in the short term and mostly in the long term, we want them to be sustainable. Therefore we need to work on different phases or break the big project into smaller projects. Most of our clients are recurring because of this, but also because they like the way we work together as a team (according to them). I would say more than 75% of my clients are repetitive. Actually, a great percentage of our newer clients are referrals from former or current customers!
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
When I first started with Kingz Marketing we wanted to focus on social media marketing but surprisingly one of the services for which clients approach me the most is branding. They usually need help with their logo, either by creating one or improving the one they have. They also ask for business cards and to re-brand their websites and their social media. Lately, we’ve been doing a lot of website design projects as well; I mean it’s 2020, and people are finally realizing that they need to be online, mostly now with the pandemic. We also do a lot of social media advertising and Google ads as well.
What do you find to be some of the most key factors for running a successful agency in the field of Digital Marketing?
A lot of digital marketers would say that the most important key factor would be to specialize in a single niche and to master it. Therefore, we started serving only restaurants at the beginning. Even though I consider this to be true, I also believe that digital marketing serves the same purpose doesn’t matter the sector. It doesn’t matter if you have a different target audience, in the end you’re going to use social media, SEM, and/or email marketing to get to them. Keeping this in mind, I would say that some of the most key factors for running a successful agency would be to be open-minded, able to adapt, and to always innovate. Digital marketing is fairly new, and it still has evolved a lot compared to the beginning, and it will keep evolving. As digital marketers we need to keep updating, keep learning, and innovating. We need to adapt to these changes as quickly as possible, not only for our agencies but also for our clients. I would also like to add that helping businesses in different industries gives you flexibility, which helps a lot with adapting.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a project?
That would depend on what the customer is looking for. If they’re looking for a website it would depend on the size and if it’s a template website or custom design. If they’re looking for social media marketing it would depend on how many platforms they have, channels, advertising budget, content, etc. Although, we have a few pre-established packages for most of our services, normally we ask the client what he needs and try to offer them one of the packages we have but if they want something different, we create a custom-designed package that fits their needs. Our pre-established prices are based on the market research we did and on the competition’s prices as well. Because we want to help small business owners and want to stay ahead of the competition, we offer affordable prices without compromising the quality of our services.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients?
Normally, we send our clients an invoice for the total cost of the project, at the beginning. Depending on the size of the project and the terms of the contract they could pay a portion at the beginning and the rest at the end of the project. For some clients though, we ask for a certain percentage of their sales revenue.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2019?
The lowest price for a single project was around $500 and the highest was around $1500. Although most of my clients are recurring customers with ongoing projects, for which we have set monthly payments.
Name a couple of activities that you think provide the best ROI in terms of benefit/impact when it comes to different areas of Digital Marketing.
I believe digital marketing itself is already a great return of investment. That is the beauty of digital marketing! Why? Simple, because digital marketing is way more affordable than traditional marketing and more cost-efficient when it’s properly optimized. For example, when you (properly) advertise on social media or search engines you can acquire leads for literally cents, these leads are from potential customers that could bring you 20, 50, 100 times what it was worth to acquire. Either you’re doing social media marketing, google ads, SEO, email marketing, content marketing, or investing on a website, most of the time the ROI is greater than the initial investment. Even though it might not bring you any monetary return at the beginning, digital marketing gives you that notoriety online, that online presence, it increases your brand awareness; and that my friend, it’s a huge return! That’s the beauty of digital marketing.
