Silverstripe was born in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. Our three founders developed the original product in a tech incubator in 2000, eventually naming it after a type of tropical bamboo. Those three founders are all still involved with the company today, as directors on our board. As the people who made it, we know Silverstripe CMS best. These days, we design and build Silverstripe websites for public, private, and not-for-profit sector clients in Aotearoa. We also contribute to the global Silverstripe CMS community.
