Skydea

Skydea is a bilingual design agency and product incubator based in Tokyo, working with clients in Japan and the English-speaking world. Since 2018 we have delivered over 60 projects for startups and global brands across brand strategy, identity, digital product design, and website design and development.

We work in Japanese and English across client, legal, and technical conversations, so cross-border projects do not stall on translation. Companies entering Japan use us to adapt their brand and product for the market. Japanese companies use us to reach international customers.

We take a project end to end: research and strategy, brand and identity, UI and UX, front-end build in Framer, WordPress, or custom code, and handover. Our Zero to MVP program takes an idea to a live product in four weeks at a fixed scope and fixed price.

We also build our own products, including Creative Tokyo, a job board for the creative industry in Japan, and Bento Japanese, a graded reading platform for Japanese learners. Past clients include Gamban, Blackship Realty, MELTIN MMI, Younode, and ANYTIMES.
