Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
TUYA Digital is one of the Romanian SEO & Digital Marketing agencies, based in Bucharest. Our strong point, as compared to other agencies, is the fact that we are 100% focused on delivering clients to our clients. Thus, our KPI in relationship with our clients is the number of leads, disregard of the other performance indicators, such as the SERP for the keywords specific for the industry or the organic traffic brought to the website.

I am the CEO of the company, but, within the team, I act as a digital strategist, along with my colleagues. I also take the necessary decisions for the development of the agency.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the Digital Marketing Strategy for a client.
As I have mentioned earlier, our main focus is bringing clients to our clients. So, when taking a new client, all we do is assessing the lead generation process before everything else, thus making sure we will bring more clients to him along with implementing the optimizations required.
We learnt over the years that, no matter what your client is asking from you, at the end of the day he will judge your performance in terms of how many leads have we provided through our efforts.

For example, we have clients who want us to optimize their website for certain keywords. We do that, but we also optimize their lead generation process. If we wouldn’t do that, all our other efforts would be in vain.

We know that organic or paid traffic, without leads, won’t make the client happy. Generating more leads is the key in this industry and what makes the difference between good agencies and top agencies.
How does your company differentiate itself from the competition?
As I have mentioned, we are an agency which focus on leads, disregard of the other objectives requested by the client.
Also, we are an agency which offer full digital services, from web-design to app development and from SEO services to PPC and content marketing. 
Another advantage we have over our competition is the fact that we offer affordable prices, especially for our clients from US or UK, but also for our clients from the European Union. We constantly compare the SEO prices from UK or US with the ones we offer and we’re at 50% of their pricing, at least.

The final advantage is the friendliness of our staff. We can’t be beaten on that so easily, that’s for sure. Client relationship is one of our main priorities and we make sure the client is happy with our collaboration at all times.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We have clients from lots of industries, but we constantly receive requests from the medical/health industry, law firms, consultancy companies and financial companies. Some of the clients are with us for 5 years or even more, so we do have a good retention rate, of more than 85%.

We offer a full digital service package, mainly SEO, that’s why our clients stay with us. They’re happy with the results, mostly because our services bring them leads and this is important.
Please share some of the services that you offer for which clients approach you the most for?
Basically, we are requested the most to offer SEO services, but when we get to discuss to the client in depth about the project, we find out (no surprise here, though) that what they really want is to get more leads and customers from the collaboration. This is why we do offer SEO, but within a Digital Marketing and Lead Generation package.

That’s how we succeed in keeping our clients for a long term.
What do you find to be some of the most key factors for running a successful agency in the field of Digital Marketing?
As an CEO of a Digital Marketing agency, first off is you have to build a team, from the first specialist you bring on and up to the last one. All of them have to create a strong team and to complement each other, to offer additional value to the company.

Secondly, as the head of the digital agency you have to be up to date with the latest knowledge in your field. It’s all changing at a very rapid pace and you have to keep up with it. You have to know everything about the latest Google Algorithm Update and to correlate it with the data from Google Analytics of your clients. Also you have to read about the latest updates of the social media platforms and to see what more can you do for your clients out of them. On top of that, you have to read about the latest marketing experiments done and to have a good knowledge about the best practices of the industry, especially if they’re from your competitors.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a project?
There are three decisive factors: the difficulty of the project, the time needed to implement it and the resources needed.
The difficulty of the project - it’s one thing to be asked to bring an average keyword on the first page of Google, and it’s another thing to be asked to bring a premium keyword.
The time needed to implement a project - sometimes this is tricky. We don’t charge by the number of hours, but per project. If a client asked us to optimize their SERPs in 3 months, there is OK, but if he asks us to do that in 2 months, it’s a different task. The same with web design: if you want your website to be completed over the next weekend (which we did a lot), then we would charge you more than when you would ask us to design your website in 2 weeks.

The resources needed to implement a project - sometimes we can’t accomplish the task only by relying on ourselves. For example, we have to publish advertorials on English publishing platforms. That would cost us more than publishing the articles on Romanian platform, right? This kind of external resources bring additional costs.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients?
As mentioned earlier, we offer a service package, depending from client to client and from project to project. We negotiate at the beginning with each client and we usually bill the clients monthly for the services accomplished.

When taking one time projects, we bill the clients once.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2019?
We bill our clients on a monthly basis, especially for SEO and Digital Marketing services. Our annual fees range between $7000 and $15000.
Name a couple of activities that you think provide the best ROI in terms of benefit/impact when it comes to different areas of Digital Marketing.
The best service you can buy from our Digital Marketing package is the Lead Generation one. This offers the best ROI, as we negotiate from the very beginning the increase the client wants for its lead number, as a percentage. Usually, we offer a 100% increase in the existing number of leads and we do absolutely everything for reaching that number - it could be SEO activities combined with Conversion Rate Optimization, but also PPC combined with content marketing. It’s up to us to choose the proper mixture of activities, but it’s also our responsibility to deliver the promised results.
