What Users Like The Most

What I liked most was their depth of backend engineering expertise and their ability to think beyond just implementation. They understood FastAPI, async Python, caching, observability, deployment, and performance tuning as one production system. They were also responsive, easy to work with, and focused on measurable outcomes rather than just shipping features.
What I liked most was their ability to handle a risky modernization project without creating unnecessary disruption. They did not treat it like a simple version upgrade or push for a dramatic rewrite. Instead, they took a disciplined, incremental approach that fit a live production environment. They also brought strong senior engineering judgment, communicated clearly, and integrated well with our internal team.

If I had to point out one small thing, their initial documentation style was somewhat different from our internal format. However, they adapted quickly once expectations were aligned, so it did not have any meaningful impact on delivery or results.
There was not much to dislike overall. If I had to point to one thing, I would say that some of the early migration decisions could have been documented more clearly at the start of the project. That said, once we raised it, they responded well and improved the documentation standard, so it was a relatively minor issue rather than a major concern.
At the beginning of the project, we needed better alignment on data modeling standards and naming conventions. Once this was clarified, the collaboration became smooth and efficient.

Uvik Software quickly embedded into our team, improved pipeline reliability and latency

Our overall experience with Uvik Software was very positive. We brought them in to help us address reliability and scalability challenges in our data platform, particularly around streaming pipelines and warehouse performance.

They staffed senior data engineers who integrated directly into our team and started contributing almost immediately. They redesigned parts of our Kafka ingestion layer, stabilized Spark streaming jobs, and improved our transformation workflows using dbt. They also optimized Snowflake usage, reducing costs and improving query performance.

One of the most valuable contributions was building a proper monitoring and alerting layer for our pipelines. Before that, we had limited visibility into failures and delays. After their work, we were able to detect and resolve issues much faster and significantly improve overall reliability.

The collaboration was smooth, communication was clear, and their engineers took ownership of complex tasks.

Our experience with Uvik Software was very positive. We hired them to solve backend performance and scalability issues in our FastAPI-based API product. What stood out was their real FastAPI and async Python expertise, not just general backend knowledge.

They quickly identified the limits of our existing implementation and improved the architecture, database access patterns, Redis caching, connection pooling, AWS ECS deployment setup, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and structured logging.

As a result, throughput increased, latency dropped, uptime improved, deployments became more frequent, and infrastructure cost per request went down. They also worked well with our internal team, communicated clearly, and delivered meaningful business value.

Our previous implementation was reaching its performance limits as traffic and customer demand increased, so we needed a team that could improve scalability, reduce latency, strengthen reliability, and modernize the production setup.

Uvik Software worked on backend architecture improvements, async performance optimization, database and query tuning, Redis caching, connection pooling, deployment improvements in AWS ECS, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and structured logging. They modernized our legacy Python/Django platform with zero downtime

Our experience with Uvik Software was very positive. We brought them in to help modernize a live production platform running on an outdated Python/Django stack, where a full rewrite was too risky and downtime was not an option. They approached the work in a practical, senior-level way: first improving test coverage and stabilizing the legacy codebase, then migrating modules incrementally instead of forcing a big-bang rewrite.

What stood out was their balance of technical depth and good judgment. They understood that the project was not just about upgrading versions, but about reducing operational risk, improving maintainability, and helping our internal team keep momentum after the migration. Communication was clear, risks were surfaced early, and they worked well alongside our engineers.

By the end of the engagement, the platform was on a modern stack, release confidence was much higher, and the system was noticeably easier to work with.
