Yes, people get better in the current healthcare process, but the care process is way more painful for everyone involved than it needs to be -- insurers, providers and patients, and it costs way more than it should.
When asked to describe their healthcare experience, almost all individuals - whether a provider or a patient - did not describe their experience as positive.
Providers will tell you stories of the additional work created by EMR systems that have taken significant time away from patient care, the pain from the EMR user interfaces that were not designed with the provider in mind, the extreme difficulty to keep in touch with patients and providers, the payment models which do not provide incentive for more efficiencies, and the difficulty to utilize technologies effectively to scale their practices and time.
