Review Summary

Odoo is a feature-rich and versatile ERP system, but in our experience with the free Community version, it felt like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. While it offers an impressive range of business management tools, from CRM to accounting, the complexity and resource demands were overkill for our needs. The setup and customization required more effort than expected, and many essential features were locked behind the paid Enterprise version. Although Odoo integrates well and provides scalability, it can be overwhelming for smaller businesses or those looking for a more lightweight solution. If you need a full-scale ERP, it’s a great option, but for simpler operations, it might be excessive.

What do you like the most about Odoo?

The best thing about Odoo is its modular flexibility—you can start with just the features you need and expand as your business grows. The integration between different modules is seamless, eliminating the need for multiple third-party apps. The user-friendly interface and customization options allow for a tailored experience, making it a powerful all-in-one solution. Additionally, the free Community version provides a solid foundation for businesses that don’t require advanced enterprise feature

What do you like the least about Odoo?

The biggest downside of Odoo is that it feels overly complex for smaller businesses or simpler use cases. The setup and customization require technical expertise, making it difficult to configure without developer support. While the Community version is free, many essential features are locked behind the Enterprise version, which can become expensive. Additionally, performance can be sluggish on self-hosted setups, and the learning curve is steep, especially for users unfamiliar with ERP systems

Pros: It's really easy to configure and use, it's very user-friendly and the learning curve is really low. Cons: The customization of reports is not as agile, you have to ask for support, which is not the fastest. Overall Experience: Very flexible full-featured CRM/ERP, with more modules than SME's will probably need.
