What do you like the most about Wix?
Step-by-step guidance helps you through the whole process, even if you have no website building experience.
A good assortment of website templates can be customized and personalized in great detail.
Automatically checks for display issues on different devices, saving time and hassle.
Lots of add-ins for things like tracking, subscriptions, store, contact, newsletter, blog, etc.
What do you like the least about Wix?
The blog interface could be better, and there was no easier way to make blog-wide design changes.
Poor review
Review Summary
While I like the simplicity of Wix and enjoyed using it, that simplicity quickly turns into a source of frustration. I've found it excruciatingly hard to optimize Wix websites and I've started advising people against using Wix for that reason. I doubt you can ever properly optimize Wix websites.
Simple and Easy to Use Website Builder
Review Summary
I believe it\'s good for blogs and DIY websites
Review Summary
Review: I had an amazing experience using Wix for my website blog - Angel Jackets. I believe it's good for blogs and DIY websites.
Pros: Speed and security, Great customer support, Attractive layout.
Cons: Not good for large website because the nav menu cannot adapt to the complex substructure, Difficult to implement your own unique design, Premium plan is too expensive.
Wix is one of the worst platforms for SEO
Review Summary
Pros: Wix is really easy to use. Almost anyone can get a website up and running pretty quickly without any special knowledge. It’s very cheap, costing from £3 a month, so if you don’t have much of a budget you can still afford it. Sticking to the templates can mean you’ve got a fairly professional looking site.
Cons: It is very easy to ruin your website design. The flexibility of the platform and the ease of dragging and dropping elements on to the page means it’s very very easy for someone who isn’t a designer to turn a pretty decent template into a mess. Wix is one of the worst platforms for SEO. One of the reasons that it is so bad for SEO is because Wix sites are often very laggy and slow and really suffer from bad performance issues. Also, if you go with Wix, your site is never really actually yours. If Wix went bust tomorrow you would instantly lose your website and be left with nothing. As a Creative Director of Edge of the Web, I think that overall you just need an online presence, just something cheap and cheerful that you’re not expecting to use as a proper marketing tool, then Wix might be right for you, but with all the available web builder software that’s out there, there are certainly other options that will be as good, if not better than Wix.
Most popular tools for creating websites
Review Summary
Wix is one of the most popular tools for creating websites, and for good reason. Based on your preferences, you can design things yourself or answer some questions and have Wix do the hard work for you. Depending on your needs, you can add features such as online bookings, a blog, or an online store to your website. As a website builder of my own website - Nate Masterson, perhaps most importantly, Wix will help you get a personalized SEO plan so that people will be flocking to your new and fresh site.
Limited to lots of features

There are multiple website builders online and some are performing really good. There are 154 million active users on Wix right now. Out of which, 45000 new signs up happen on Wix every day.
There are pros and cons of every website builders, following are the pros and cons of WIX website builder:
Pros:
1. The usability and site speed is very fast.
2. There are around 500 templates to choose from. These templates come with a price and some of them are really good and free.
3. Intuitive drag and drop option. Meaning customizing the website is quite easy. They have made it so simple, that you only need to drag and drop certain elements of the website.
4. Wix is already SEO friendly, it also helps in building your SEO so that you can appear on search engines more easily.
Cons:
1. The free plan is limited to lots of features. And it also forces you to go for a premium version.
2. Tracking and analytics are limited to only paid plans. So, your data analysis is not provided with the free version.
3. Premium plans are a single site only.
Not suitable for high competitive keywords or large website
Review Summary
Pros:
- Easy for Beginners
- Drag and Drop means no coding required
- Easy implementation of basic SEO
- Easy contact forms
- Pre-designed and easy to use high-quality templates
- Great support service 24/7
- SSL protected payments
Cons:
- Not good for bigger websites (menu is limited)
- Limited us from creating a highly optimized and advanced website based on speed
- Limited us in search engines due to lack of advanced SEO control
- Quite expensive compared to other website builders
- Can't export data if you want to switch to another platform
Our experience from using Wix started off as a very positive one. We were completely unaware of how to build a website and Wix really did make it easy for us to get started. By using it on our business website - Honey Skin, however, once we realized that we did want to rank for organic keywords with high competition and that we wanted our website speed to be as close to a 100 score as possible, we needed to move to another platform. And Wix wouldn't even let us take our website with us, so we had to start from scratch. Again, if you are a small business who gets customers through word of mouth or social media, Wix is a perfect option. But if you want to rank for high competitive keywords, or you have a large website, we recommend using another more advanced platform.
I plan on continuing to use their services for quite some time
Review Summary
I have found WIX to be extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate. In just a few hours I was able to construct a high-quality website named - Teacher Brett, Inc that suited my needs and attracted clients. I have no formal skills in website development, but WIX walks you through each step and provides templates you can easily customize. It is extremely cost-effective. For around $100, I was able to get my website up and running with a custom domain. I had received quotes of thousands of dollars from website developers with numerous additional fees and charges for changing anything down the road. WIX allows for frequent changes and customizations for various promotions or announcements I want to make my customers aware of throughout the month. They also provide some steps to SEO, however, I have found this to be an area where I would like to see some improvement. For a business owner with little knowledge of how SEO works it would be helpful to have even more guidance in this area.
Overall, I have been highly satisfied with my experience at WIX compared to web development sites I have used in the past. I plan on continuing to use their services for quite some time.
I am really happy with my experience using Wix
Review Summary
Pros: I run Hotelier PR, a small niche marketing agency specializing in hospitality brands. I built my website, HotelierPR.com, using Wix. I find the easy drag and drop designs entirely customizable and the functionality of the editor is user-friendly and quick to make edits. I also love how comprehensive the guides are, like for setting up SEO and connecting to Google, all of the user experiences are so interactive and guiding, you never feel like you are alone. The monthly cost is also extremely affordable.
Cons: The only con that I have experienced is image optimization. Sometimes I have to resize images manually using PhotoShop and then upload it to Wix.
Overall Experience: I am really happy with my experience using Wix and I highly recommend if you are looking for a do-it-yourself professional website. The editor is simple, and the software guides you through processes using best practices, so people who aren't necessarily familiar can still optimize their site.
Limited features of the tool
Review Summary
Wix is relatively easy for the novice to use with its structured drag and drop format. Priced at a reasonably cost-effective rate, it allows entry-level businesses to develop an internet presence with a limited budget.
Cons: Its simple structure is also limiting. Where the majority of plugins and features developed for online are within the Wordpress platform, you can only use Wix resources for your website. As an SEO Expert at ClickBurst, I experienced that because of this, an in-depth SEO strategy cannot be implemented to the same degree, however, Wix has attempted to fix the majority of the major SEO related issues with their platform.
Overall: I would recommend Wix for smaller micro-businesses which don't intend to grow an online presence which generates them business but instead is wanting a presence which supplements their other business activities.
One of the worse ones, if you want any flexibility
Review Summary
I've been working in the web development industry for almost 11 years now, and nowadays I'm running the Regex SEO agency. Here is my take on the Wix:
"I have had my hand in every kind of web builder, and I would say that Wix is one of the worse ones, if you want any flexibility. Anything custom - simple PHP inclusions, more or less serious JS - none of this can be properly done in Wix.
It works great for someone starting out, and all they need is a simple, bare-bones website. But, if you are planning on adding any custom functionality, or care about SEO (not just meta tags), you would be disappointed."
With the help of Wix we are ranked #1 for Photo booth hire Melbourne
Review Summary
My husband and I have created all of our websites through Wix. Most recently a Photo Booth company named Wooshka Photobooths, where we very quickly learned the value of ranking well within search engines. We have implemented a lot of SEO strategies and currently sit in the number 1 spot for "Photo booth hire Melbourne' with a website we have created at home ourselves via Wix.
Pros: Easy to use, Simple to navigate, Very user-friendly and Blog option
Cons: Many say it will be difficult to do well SEO wise with Wix and it isn't compatible with Crazy Egg.
Not a happy client
Review Summary
As a Digital Marketing Specialist of Digital Bond Marketing, I have worked with a lot of clients in the past who have started out on Wix. The platform is not as bad as it used to be. However, it still has a lot of drawbacks when it comes to SEO and customization can be a massive pain. It does depend on the company and the type of website you are building. If you can avoid starting out using WIX, you will help your cause down the road.
Best for startups
Review Summary
Pros: Free to start out.
Cons: Very limited on the free plan.
Overall Experience: If you are serious about selling online. Either pay for a monthly plan or use something else. The free plan allows you to have a few products and no way to actually take a payment from a customer.
