I always choose Abelohost

I've been running affiliate websites for the better part of the last decade and I always choose Abelohost. That should tell you something about the degree of trust I have in them. I planned to diversify my hosts last year, but I was never able to find a host that offers the same quality of service as Abelohost and at roughly the same prices, so I just ended up upgrading my plan with them. I hope this doesn't go back to bite me in my ass, but there hasn't be any issues so far, so why change the winning formula, right?

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

This has to be their support team. They were always more than happy to do everything I needed and I never got charged for anything.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

More locations. I trust that they'll keep my servers secure, but having the option to choose the offshore server location rather than always have it in the Netherlands would help a lot.

The only offshore hosting company I trust

After having been burned by companies claiming to be offshore, I had my doubts about AbeloHost when I first signed up to their service over three years ago, but I'm glad I gave them a shot. They are now my go-to company and I recommend it to everyone who is interested in offshore hosting.

However, if you're looking for a host that will let you run a dark web site, phishing scams or illegal content in general, this is not the hosting provider for you. Based on what I've seen, they do a lot to prevent any sort of illegal activity on their servers. I guess this sucks for people looking for anonymous hosting where they can run all sorts of shady actions, but it lets us regular customers have a peace of mind when it comes to our sites.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Their customer support - it's simply outstanding.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Server status communication. I suppose they are doing their best, but I once had to wait for a couple of hours to get my website back up after it went offline for some reason. During this time, I didn't receive any status updates until the issue was resolved. I'd have appreciated a simple follow-up message letting me know what's wrong and what they're doing to resolve the issue.
