Ananyoo

M/S. Anblik is a web accessibility consultancy based in Kolkata, India, founded in 2003 by Shivaji Mitra. Ananyoo is our accessibility service and product brand. Our work is designing, building and fixing websites and mobile applications so that people with disabilities can use them, measured against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, Section 508 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Most of our clients are in the United States.

What we do. Accessibility audits of websites, web apps and mobile apps; remediation of the failures inside WordPress, Shopify, BigCommerce, Webflow and custom code; re-testing until the site passes; accessibility statements, VPATs and Section 508 reports; demand-letter response; and ongoing monitoring. We also build accessible themes and plugins, so the fixes hold when the site grows.

How we test. Every audit is done by hand with the screen readers people actually use: JAWS and NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on Mac and iPhone, TalkBack on Android. We add keyboard-only testing, browser zoom to 400 percent, the Colour Contrast Analyser, and the automated tools Deque axe, Google Lighthouse and WAVE. Findings are written so that the developer who fixes them can act on each one without a meeting.

Why clients choose us. The founder is a DHS Trusted Tester, trained in the US federal testing process; colleagues hold IAAP certifications (CPACC, WAS and CPWA). Our accessibility work is documented publicly: the Ariade accessible WordPress theme, free accessibility plugins on WordPress.org, and Wikipedia articles on Indian government accessibility standards written by the founder. Communication is in writing, with a reply within one working day, which suits clients across time zones.
