Challenge:

Eurowings has the largest route network in Europe.   For comprehensiveThe QA Mass Devices tests must be able to cover convenience and flexibility in travel planning . Critical errors in booking processes can lead to immense losses in customer satisfaction and revenue. This must be counteracted by quick bug reports and direct communication with development.

How did we start the project?

Since 2015, our team has been supporting the software development for Eurowings Digital as a testing partner. The collaboration started with the manual testing of the Eurowings app.  Appmatics now supports the functional app and website testing as a QA service provider. 

Over time, a large team of our trained testers was established for the joint project. In a short time, the QA processes were established, which we can individually adapt for different test cases and continue quality assurance. 

Strategy and Measures:

The QA strategy consists of concrete measures.

1) Testing:  During testing, the Eurowings app is tested on a variety of device and OS combinations using our large inventory of physical devices. 

2) Web testing: As part of the web testing, the Eurowings page is carefully tested using various browsers. The focus is particularly on the critical functions, from flight searches to check-out. 

3) Risk-based approach: To achieve the most efficient results, we follow a risk-based approach in which the most important functions are tested most intensively and less important features are assigned reduced resources. 

Conclusion:

Thanks to comprehensive app and web testing, we can ensure successful relaunches and feature releases on a regular basis.  This guarantees flexible and convenient travel booking.

In addition to testing, we always take the approach of providing our partners with advice. We therefore convert the insights gained in testing into concrete recommendations for action. The collaboration with Eurowings Digital is characterized by a high degree of openness to new suggestions .
