Operated from New York, Boston and Fremont, AppsChopper is a leading app development company serving clients across the world with technology-driven solutions. Since its inception in 2011, the company has been serving many top market players like Huawei, Unilever, Revlon, Vodafone, etc., across the world with customized iOS and Android app development services.
As a CEO, I am responsible for taking important decisions and managing all the resources of the company. I supervise every team and ensure they are getting an adequate support and a sound environment to deliver the best.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
I spent a lot of time to learn the scopes and potentials of mobile technologies in terms of the influences of our day-to-day life and how business can reap its benefits to increase their potential customers. This encouraged me to lay a foundation of a mobile app development company named AppsChopper! We are focused to serve businesses with dedicated mobile apps that can cater their maximum requirements and let them discover maximum growth opportunities.
What are your company’s business model–in-house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?
We have an in-house team of UI/UX designers & mobile app developers who are proficient and versatile to develop apps for varied industries with different needs. With over 50 professionals, we encourage our customers to hire us and ensure quality solutions with on-time product delivery.

How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
The total time required for the front end and back end of mobile apps depends on the type, feature and purpose of a mobile app. A simple mobile app can be developed even in one month whereas a unique and complex idea needs 6 to 8 months to be developed. For instance, we have developed an app named Buffalo Wings, a real-time bus ticket booking app, in almost one month. On the other hand, we spent almost 6 months to develop an app named Skilltaly, a social networking app.

We suggest clients choose the right platform for mobile app development depending on their specific business needs and also how much they are willing to invest in this. We suggest Android apps for those having a limited budget yet seeking to make their reach worldwide. On the other hand, we suggest iOS for those willing to target only a specific class or higher paying audience.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
Before we suggest anything to clients, our professionals analyze their ideas, business model, target audience, market scenario, etc., in-depth. Budget is also an important parameter - if a customer has a sound budget and seeking to get maximum benefit for their businesses from a mobile app, we suggest them to go with native apps. These apps have a huge potential to harness the benefits of devices’ hardware/software, speed and security. A hybrid app is cost-efficient and good for those who have a limited budget to spend on and seeking to get benefits of more than one platform just in the cost of the single app.
What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a mobile application?
We first analyze the client’s ideas to understand their requirements. To determine the overall cost of a mobile app, we consider crucial factors such as App Platform, App Design, Features, Expedite, Delivery, Post-Development Support, etc.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions etc.)
Our payment process is quite flexible and we generally lean towards the client to support them and grow together. However, the project starts with an upfront.
Hybrid Fixed Payment Model
Why we call it hybrid, because cost and timeline for a complete project are locked in very initial i.e. fixed. But, we break the project parts in milestones and plan payment terms either based on a percentage of development finished or on completion of the milestone.
Time & Material basis
This one is very exciting for some of our customers especially those are enterprises and looking for our team as their extended team. This model mostly suits to agencies who have a product manager at their place so they can manage the dedicated resource and get their job done. This model is 40% cost-effective than the Hybrid one and customers are responsible for all the deliverables. This model enables clients to enjoy a flexibility to increase or reduce the team strength according to their project requirements.
Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?
Yes! We do have our basic budget requirement that is $10K. We accept only those projects matching such criteria. Meanwhile, if we find an interesting app idea that’s new and a little bit challenging, then we are always ready to compromise even with our basic budget criteria.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
2018 was a good year for AppsChopper. During this year, we have handled many big and small projects at different prices.
The minimum price of the project we catered this year was $10K and the maximum price of the project we reached was $500K.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
To monetize a mobile app, we assist clients to choose the right one among many business models including advertising, selling data, SMS marketing, in-app purchases, multiple payment options for subscriptions and lots more. We help clients in making the right selection according to their specializations and capability.
